Here again I am hearing conversations in Schumann's music, this time between a child sniffling and very sad, telling her father how tragic is the situation, but then the father speaks about being strong and not giving up one's faith in life, that all will be well. You create this conversation with your perfect use of dynamics and articulation, and your subtle use of ritardando and pauses. Bravo Efrain! Another wonderful snapshot into a child's world! 🌹
Muy bonita pieza. Mucha emoción escuchandote tocarla. Gracias. Me gustaría estudiarla. Puedes decirme el titulo en francés ? Creo que es : "Premier chagrin". Pero Dolor significa "douleur" en francès y no es exactamente lo mismo. He tocado Dolor ( padre Donostia). ¿ Conoces esta pieza? Es una maravilla .... Muy triste. Saludos desde Francia.

Creo que deberías estudiarla, ya que además de ser muy bella tiene mucho para trabajar a nivel técnico e interpretativo también. Première douleur sería su nombre en francés. Aunque según el original en alemán la mejor traducción sería "pérdida" y no "dolor", como aparece en la traducción inglesa The First Loss. Saludos desde Argentina !
Thanks for introducing anther wonderful Schumann’s piece to me( 1st time heard of it and now I love it). It’s an ABRSM/ RCM grade 4 piece. (Added to my “ To Learn List”). Your Schumann’s “Melody” brought me back on my piano journey a year ago and now my “ To Learn List ” is getting larger & larger 😎. Listened to several other recordings of this piece as well. Yours is as refined: The phrasing, slurs, voicing( clear right hand melody with well balanced LH 2 voicing). Everything is perfect . The images make the piece more interesting & memorable. 🎉🎉🎉💯💯💯💯
