This is glorious, I have been researching "was mozart the greatest composer?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Poneyton Introductory Preeminence - (should be on google have a look ) ? It is a good one of a kind product for discovering how to master the piano minus the hard work. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my cousin got great success with it.
@@tomasblanco8000 Thanks for the list. We appreciate your effort. It would be nice if someone could provide information about the pianist playing, the instrument used, where and when it was recorded, and any other interesting information regarding the performance. Thank you.
Three of the highest masterpieces of pianistic Romanticism, collected here in expressive and virtuosic performances, full of passion and style. Thanks a lot.
Have now heard Klara Wurtz with the Mendelssohn trios and now as a soloist. She is brilliant. These first two Schumann sonatas are very demanding, but she seemed to make light work of them. Quite lovely. Vincenzo Maltempo was new to me, but his style of playing is less crisp than Ms W's but it really suited the No 3. Thank you for these works B.C.
Too brilliant for their own good. Nobody plays them in competition, and most don't bother with them in recital either. Schumann, Godowsky and Medtner and others get no play cuz their works are too intense and ungodly thick.
Could we also be given the name of the pianist and another version showing how on earth he/she is getting their fingers around all those fantastcally arranged notes. Please!. Me again. J.F.P
Lovely stuff. Don't suppose anyone fancies helping me out identifying any of the locations in the video - especially the castle with the red roof tiles
Alas Clara didn't play Schumann's great works in public. She thought they were too difficult to understand and played them to coisseurs at home. She added the F SHARP MINOR TO HER REPERTOIRE WHEN SHE WAS SIXTY - sorry, capitals by accident.
Does anyone know why many romantics wrote 3 piano sonatas? Examples: Beethoven, Schubert (these 2 wrote more, but the last 3 are the romantic ones) Chopin, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Brahms
Schuman is a great musician, too. The musicians right now can not beat this kind of great musicians like schuman. Different interests: Before, the musicians seeked for music. Right now the musicians seek for money.
Moglie del proprietario di Brilliant Classics, la Würtz è brava e suona di tutto. Peccato abbia un tocco - come dire? - elefantiaco, inadatto ad alcuni brani.
