I can relate to your thoughts on traveling with a bible. In June 1963 while training with the Navy I purchased a Cambridge Pitt Minion bible. I spent the next year cruising most of the Pacific Ocean. I travelled from the west coast to Guam, south across the Caroline Islands, north through the Marianas Islands and Bonin Islands. Travelled to north Pacific just south of Adak Alaska, then south to Sydney Australia and on east to Pago Pago Samoa followed by travel back to Hawaii. I still have that bible and it remains in excellent condition.

I have a Schuyler NKJV PSQ and it is a lovely bible, but there is just something special about Cambridge Pitt Minions. I have two Pitts (NKJV & NIV), and because of their size and portability I take BOTH of them with me to church. Light, easy to carry, complete with 50,000 references, a good concordance, and wonderful Cambridge maps, a Pitt Minion is nearly perfect. Yes, the font is small, but it is quite readable especially in adequate light. They are beautifully constructed and available in KJV, NKJV, NIV, NASB, NLT, and ESV translations. Highly recommended!

And the PSQ costs 3x as much most days. The Pitt Minion is a BEAST. Thanks for the video!

Black letter here too brother

I have three pitt minions In different translations in our family Bible stack. When we need to read anybody just grabs whatever Bible they want. My wife’s eyes are better than mine and she likes to grab the pitt minion. For me I like the full sized brick Schuyler Quentel - in green of course. It’s just easier to read.

Your friend is pretty funny and a good reviewer. He helped me avoid purchasing a Schuyler. They look amazing, but after doing a bit more research it seems like ESV is black text only and it seems a bit too decorative. I'll stick with Cambridge for now. Good video!

Not a fan of red letter editions of the Bible. For many, it gives the impression that the words in red are more important or more scriptural than the other words when all of the Bible is equally inspired. Go with a black letter edition every time. I'd love a Pitt Minion Bible or a Oxford wide margin, but I just can't bring myself to buy a red letter Edition Bible, especially in the ESV translation.

Great video! I’ve had both and personally, I would rather travel with the PSQ any day. The thickness isn’t a game changer when packing and but the readability of the PSQ is MASSIVE compared to the Pitt.

I agree with The Bearded Prophets comments. There is something slightly off putting about the layout of the PSQ. It does feel a little too dense on the page with very little white space. I mean it is a beautiful Bible with unmatched quality. The Goatskin cover and calfskin lining is just incredible. Those ribbons. The paper. It is a wonderful Bible. Probably the best B6 size Bible available. It’s just that layout 😞

Dude he might like the CBP 120 compact concord but a Cambridge Cameo is exactly his cup of tea it has the best red letter on the market.That's what I'd choose for the bearded ...wait the long bearded guy ..not you😉 Pitt has way to small of print for my taste but folks like the portability.

Can you use highlighters in the Pitt minion? If so do you recommend any specific ones

The only Bible I have found with the New Testament translated from the original Hebrew is "The Book of Yahweh". It is the only translation I have found that correctly translates the first verses of the Book of John. Michael Rood found over 2000 errors in translations that came from the Greek.
