The capital of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is surrounded by numerous lakes and has a remarkably well-preserved historic center. Despite the quite manageable size of the city, there is a very well developed tram network with a length of 21 kilometers and 4 lines. Tatra T3D shaped the face of the tram until 2004, since then the operation has been exclusively low-floor with 30 trams of the type SN2001 (Bombardier Flexity Classic).
