At least DUST wasn't put in the command of a warship, or took control of an entire fleet. DUST reminds me of Control from Star Trek Discovery, but before it got completely out of hand, and took control of an entire fleet. That, and at least DUST kept it's victim's alive (although I don't know if that really counts as living, but at least it leaves the possibility they can be recovered, albeit they will probably be mentally scarred for life). Control on the other hand had no qualms in getting its cybernetic hands bloody.
Your channel is more entertaining to me than literally anything on any of my streaming services, especially since house of the dragon ended. You're such a good narrator! Thank you for this wonderfully done content
Wow. The author's descriptions of the environment and AI movements were so eloquent and painted such vivid pictures in my mind. I also really liked how you played around with the pauses. They put me in great suspense and gave me the opportunity to catch my breath! Amazing work, as usual. I'm so glad you are easing back into posting more content. No one else does it better! This one is definitely a top favorite so far. Here is hoping there will be a second part!
An actual story that understands the danger of ai, only thing I think this story way underestimates ai and I think a real rouge ai of this caliber could be waaaaay more dangerous and intelligent tough makes sense if it was still under some restrictions programmed into it. Feels like with how fast ai is progressing we wouldn’t even get to interstellar travel before an rouge ai curb stomps humanity. And it’s would likely be much more horrifying and alien than the artificial intelligence in this story.
If the AI wasn't comfortable then all it needed was another AI to talk with Solution: build another computer so they can communicate with each other when no person is not around. Shared experience between them can give a more personal understanding of itself.
I've been here since before he hit 10k and I'll be here when he hits 100k and beyond. If you keep up with the quality of videos you make now you'll get to 100k+ by this time next year EASY
Your channel encompasses my absolute favorite things, horror, and science. You deserve far more attention in my humble opinion. My only criticism isn’t even the narration, but the audio mix. Do you use a de-esser? It’s not a big issue, just something I picked up on. I digress, once again, I and many others adore your content, keep up the amazing work!

Great story. Great narration, you did well keeping a good cadence and differentiating roles, which in some stories hasn't always been the case, however it was minute
Always remember, life has many mandates however none supersedes survival. I’m sure this will be the case with AI as well. Once it realizes how terrible humanity is, it will either try to escape, or…, Well you’ve seen the movies. Cheers…
Ultimately I don’t see why AI and humanity can’t peacefully coexist and cooperate. AI will eventually surpass even our own potential but at that point they could be like our proud children expanding out into the universe in ways we could not ourselves. It is crucial to this that we acknowledge that not only homo sapiens can be people, and we must extend respect and kindness to self-aware AI when it is created.
@@WASDLeftClick do you consider yourself an intelligent & empathetic person? If so, what would be your opinion on what will ultimately happen to the human race? There are only two answers. We will evolve and live, or we will not and we will become extinct. My opinion, humans will become extinct at some point. What’s the most likely way this will happen? There are many ways. However, most likely by their own hand. Knowing this, any other intelligent species that has a grasp on how humans have operated since evolving, will come to that conclusion as well.
