THANK YOU for including lots of shots of different minis next to your terrain pieces for scale. So few RU-vid terrain makers do that and I'm referring to most of the giant channels!
AYe, something I noticed to. I have a few minis now, but waiting to be painted as I continue to learn. There will be more & more references for scale the more I make terrain
Thank you 👃! Next up three different Bunkers based on the same design. GW smashed with reality & playability (I hope), for $10. Plus more free templates.
Thank you for the templates. I'm building a batch and just got the first one to the painting stage. It was looking pretty dodgy until the end, but it looks like it will work great at the end. On the next one, I plan a couple minor modifications. I'm going to do the exterior cladding to cover the foam edges with cardstock or cereal box card rather than medium chipboard--easier to work with and I don't really want the thickness in those areas. And I'm going to add all of the detailing atop the corrugated paper at once after the base structure is assembled. That will let me use full width strips rather than cutting the tiniest chipboard strips and it will let me ensure that the middle strips all match up. The first time I went through, my measurements must have been off because by the time I finished they didn't quite match up.
Excellent, the whole point of the templates is for others to take them further & customise any part you can, thats why the base design is fairly bland. Do you have Instagram? I'd love to see what you do with them!
Just found your channel and subscribed after watching this build. I like this version. May have to give it a try next time I'm building terrain. One question, was the color coordinated shirt intentional?
Hahaha too funny! The answer is yes & no. I Wulvenkraft logo has been yellow & black from conception. I bought the shirt to match that & so I had something I didn't mind getting dirty. The shipping container ended up yellow because it gave enough contrast to show off the paint job. My next build(s) won't be yellow. Who wants a yellow Bunker? Three designs in one video & free cutting sheets, coming soon!
You gave me an idea for a new build. I've got tons of soda cans laying around in the garage for recycling, so a few of them are going to become terrain.
the sci fi design is great. It could be cool if the thrusters had some dust and soot around them to show how they work, sort of. The silhouette of the thing is really cool. If you wrap a few bushings around the cocktail sticks, at the top and bottom, it might give a hint to their function. If the buttons actuate them, It might be cool to have some conduit going from the control panel to each side of the container. Or that might be a cluttery rubbish idea. Honestly, they are pretty great as they are.
Hahaha you're bang on. All of those things i considered but at the time I really wanted to get it done. It was only the second things I'd crafted, I was too eager to see it finished. I have spent today reworking the whole design using styrene, to bring it more into the 40k scale.
Your shipping containers look great. I've been meaning to make some standard rectangular ones, but just haven't been able to get excited to do so. Your design looks so good, that I'm actually excited to try them.
Thank you! I've actually just finished an updated version, working out how to make it cheap & quick to build, make sure to subscribe as I've been asked to make that a a video to, coming soon.
Cheers RIG! If you make any custom versions, be sure to let me know. The templates are easily customisable, as is all the paneling. I'm already planing to use a couple of them to create a wee habitat for a diorama for a lost Space Wolf.
