Sci-Fi Short Film "The Shepherd" 

All men want to be tyrants if only for a minute. A very good short film. Kudos.

Any SciFi movie that has the same opening shot as Star Wars must be good.

Pavel has such an expressive face. I hope he funds the power to set himself free.

Man, I was disappointed when the ship got destroyed by the chair. I really wanted to see this play out! It was fantastic and funny!

Very well done! The character was great in this role, never said a word, but conveyed a lot in his actions. I laughed out loud when the tiny ship came through the wall.

That reminded me of an Outer Limits episode from the 60's, where a space craft was entering (an Earth) and was in communication with an isolated radio station. The suspense increased as the craft came into land on a very stormy night. After the craft landed the operator was shouting for help as he was under attack from a huge worm-like creature. The radio operator (now in a panic) rushed out into the rainy night....crushing the tiny spacecraft under foot. Maybe the makers of this short saw that one too!

This was really good. It’s going in my “good shorts” playlist. Man…when the question came on to answer yes or no, and he wasted the time doing what he did, I really was waiting for him to start moving his finger to press and another screen comes up that says, sorry, another Shepard has been chosen! Ha.

Excellent! Similar concept to Douglas Adams episode In Hitch Hikers Guide to the galaxy where an invading ship, by a miscalculation of scale is swallowed by a small dog! Very entertaining.

Do you know what's crazy about this whole story? The tiny invaders were not afraid of the "giant" humans. They must have did this before in other conquests. Fearless...and powerful.

This is the most original sci-fi ever. Excellent! And very funny

Great commercial for the standing desk! If that's not a solid reason to go out and buy one I don't know what it is. If he didn't have that stupid chair on wheels that ship would never have been crashed and he'd be the ruler of the world. Moral: Buy one of those fancy standing desks and never worry about a chair destroying your destiny ever again!!!!

That was cleaver , and I didn't see it coming , great actor and I felt for the little guy .

Oh, crap! He stepped in it big time. This is a case of counting your chickens before they hatch. Maybe he should have acquired the power before putting his foot into it. What was really done well was the mean looking space ship that appeared immense, heading for that building as it was about to crash. It was a given because of the size of that ship, that the building would be destroyed. The surprise was that the ship turned out to be the size of a little toy. That ship survived a fireie atmospheric entry only to be destroyed by a chair on wheels. That was a good 'oops' moment. Great job of all involved in this short.

Really liked this. Comprehensible and it had an ending! Very rare for short films. Graphics and music were excellent and juxtaposing this with a boring grey office environment worked really well.

The epic beginning. huge hot engines, you could almost feel the power of that ship.

Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy had an entire invasion force of spaceships coming to earth which got swallowed by a dog.

There's a "Buffy the Vampire Fighter" episode where they have a terrible time defeating a demon. At the end, Buffy's tutor (I forget what he's called) checks his reference book and finds a picture of the demon. Subheading: Actual size.
