I just want to say you have completely inspired me to go back to school at 26 for Media Arts Animation and Special Effects. The things you do in all of your tutorials are amazing and I can't wait to learn more!
School will suck your money, just get good from learning online and lots of practice. Build a Demo reel and forget about school. Coming from experience.
***** Yes. Yes you can. There are enough tutorials out there to learn the basics of AE (or other compositing applications), and then you can build up from there. Note: once you have the basics down, don't rely on tutorials. Try to find ways to do things - not saying that tutorials are bad, but soley relying on them would never help you. If you want to get into 3D integration into after effects, get Blender. Just to get started :)
I really like the way you teach, feels more like I'm having fun with an old buddy rather than learning curriculum. Thanks a lot for sharing your expertise seems like you've been at it for decades.
Awesome.I admire the way that it's not just a how-to tutorial, but is geared towards getting everyone to see the immense possibilities that can stem from a few simple effects.
Dude... Thoose tutorials are never too long when you explain what your doing, I actually can understand what your doing even if I'm not really used to After Effects, and I speak french... So do more of theese! they are awesome tutorials!
Andrew I've been following your stuff for years since high school love the great content man keep it up! Maybe I'll be able to use these tools in my job one day!
Epic tutorial Andrew! thank you for sharing how you did it. I tried to do the distortion using your shockwave element, but i like the ripple & pulse effects to distort the footage, i'm going to try that too.
Andrew is amazing. Iv been sitting here for hours watching his tutorials and being blown away. I think I wanna get into Effects work, although im old as fuck already
Brilliant! Learnt so many little tricks in this tutorial! 40minutes is definitely not too long when it's this informative; not that your other tuts aren't informative, but I'm sure no-one else minds the longer tuts!
Hello my name is Rafael and I'm from Brazil love their videos but do not know a lot of English and I feel very difficult if you colocase legend you would realize my dream without doubt best channel ever met
Awesome tutorial, although when I tried to use the transform effect, at 12:06, my shockwave would loop around, but there would be a small gap at the top between the edges. Any ideas on how that could happen?
This was excessively educational THANKS!!! Recommendation would be to quickly describe why the order of plugins is important each time you do it... I watched some of VC videos several years ago, but the level was so advanced for me at the time that I couldn't grasp what was going on yet. Now I follow it well enough, but...
He sounded so dissapointed when he inverted the bulge "It... Sucks the fun out of the shot. *CUT*" xD love your tutorials dude, so professional and helpful!
Just the best this guy.. I just finished mine here... wowww. following the tuto take so long time.. but its so great! I repeated thrice just to not forget lol ... thanks a lot as always, Kramer monster!
cootutorial as alwaysl, can you do the tutorial about the efects that you use in the video to break the wall and show the interior with the lightbulbs and the debris please?
anyone, does somebody know where the sound effetcs for this is located in motion pulse? cause im too lazy to look for all of them cause there are like tons of sound effects and i wanna know where this sound effects from the gun is located. i really need this sound effect it is good. comment if you know and tell me the location of the sound effect
Hey, I have a little problem with the adjustment layer at the plasma gun section. If I apply the CC Glass effect the distortion will stay in the middle of the screen and nothing can move it. Maybe you can help me. Thanks!
Is it possible to do all of this without plugins? I'm new to after effects, are a lot of the good effects third-party and cost money? Two seperate questions so please hit me with two seperate answers (;
Hey so i have multiple gunshots. how can i move the effects from the first edit over to the next gunshots without having to keep duplicating everything? i tried making the total blast effects into a pre comp but then it throws it completely off
Soon I'm planning on rigging my Samus 3D model and then I'm going to do a running animation into her firing at, well nothing really XD, anyways I'm definitely going to go and watch this tutorial again for some amazing shot effects! Good job Andrew :)
I just noticed in a film called the gentlemen starring Matthew mcconaghey and Colin Farrell the intro has the shockwave elements from this to visualise the smoking of the gangsters
