There are many scientists out there, and reputable scientist who give lectures in their respective fields, but they don't capture the ears of those who are less literate scientifically like Neil does. I believe it's because of his delivery which is filled with passion, and if it's all an act like some people say, it's a good act, and worthy of many listening ears. @TomaszWota 9 лет назад
Two points on that Rajit Roy - there are lots and lots of broadly defined scientists, not everybody in science is going to be on Feynman level. - communicating science to a broad widely unscientific public is as important as ever. This cannot be stressed enough - we need to inspire young people to go into STEM and to general public to be at least more aware of how science operates and what is going on (because general public can then push on the government, and young inspired people may be part of it later). This Tyson is trying to do with his charisma and intelligence, and it is as important as any research.

Tyson is a source of misinformation. Just about everything he says about Newton and Ghazali is wrong.

Could listen to this genius for ever. Like the way in which he explains what I consider to be complex issues, so that I can increase my scant understanding of the natural world and beyond. His humor and passion for his subject is infectious. Not only is he a genius but is an excellent communicator of his subjects. Wish I had a tiniest fraction of his intelligence. Thank you Mr Tyson for all of your work. 🙂☘️🌲

What he said at the end was very interesting, Our problem as human is that we rate out intelligent in such way that make us think that we are the smartest, but in fact our knowledge are very limited.
