When we awaken from deep sleep, the mind will look at the time and say “....hours elapsed” But the mind made up a story because the mind was not present in deep soundless sleep. In reality, we were in an eternal state in deep sleep close to the most original beyond state of God prior to the Big Bang or the “ Whim” ( God asking the question Who Am I). Eternity is the gap between thoughts, the gap between the awake and Dream states, the gap between the Dream and Soundless sleep states. The mind can’t comprehend eternity and must vanish before Reality can be Realized. Avatar Meher Baba once declared: . “Mind wants to know that which is beyond mind. To know that which is beyond mind, mind must go-vanish, leaving no vestige of itself behind. The humour of it is, the mind, which is finite, wants to retain itself and yet know Truth, which is infinite. This is the position of those who seek Truth through intellect. Whatever is in our dreams can come in our real life as whatever comes to us in reality first comes in our thoughts.so dreams are a sign by GOD that we can bring these things to reality by our pure mind and true efforts.
But in deep sleep even the sense of - I am- is not there. When one wakes up after deep sleep, one feels restful but at the same time there is a feeling like I just went to bed and woke up. So this point is not clear to me.
In the deep-sleep the sense of "I-am" is not there (when the deep-sleep is actually taking place)is true. But who is it that claims, after waking up, that 'I had a deep sleep'? Also when one says 'the sense of something, in this case the sense of I-am', look at the very expression, 'sense' involves mind/cognition. But during the deep sleep the mind is shut, all perception is switched off thus. Also when you say 'I just went into a deep sleep and woke up' do you really mean that or you actually feel 'I went into a deep sleep, had a peaceful sleep, had no sense of time'? In either case (A- just woke up or B-had a good sleep), who is claiming this the I of the waking-state? But the I-sense(ego) of the waking-state never went into a deep sleep! In waking, dreaming states we have subject-object experiences, in the deep sleep the subject-object (object here is the pecefulness of the deep sleep itself) is also present though available to claim only during waking state and not during the state when/where it is actually happening. So, this is a kind of a fault line in the realm of maya that may lead us to a deeper probing and subsequently enlightenment. I humbly suggest you some more investigation. Thse books will be of help: a. Mandukya Upanishad b. Drg Drsya Viveka.
Sense of i am is same in dream while watching the dream. We see and experience the world in a same way as if when we are awake. You are someone in your own dream. Sometimes different than what you are awake but sense of I am is there while experiencing dream. Sence off time and space is function of mind, when you go in deep sleep mind is not working so no sense of time ... Hence unless you see the watch you wouldn't be able to be sure how much time has gone. When you don't know how much time has gone your first reaction to it is not much time has gone as I don't experience that so I might have slept and woke in short time. But when it's say 4 hrs gone you recheck the experience and come to conclusion since I slept I haven't seen any dream that means I was sleeping like a log of wood. And you feel fresh which was not there before going to sleep.
Organized institutions designed to depict an other worldly reality along with all the trappings of religion are being put/couched as an end unto itself, outside individually experienced self Awareness. It's not a subtle difference but appears to be an obstacle to understanding the perspective, personal perspective one can choose to take to see things as they are. You do not need a physical Kundalini awakening to see this. You know you have experienced this when you can no longer see as you did before. Understanding has taken root.
There are some basics to Religion, Which God as an organizer of this universe and creation of dependent curious man in it, has to address 1) Why He created Universe 21:30 2) Why He Created man 67:2 3) What is His religion and its scopes, syllabus and prospectus. 4) And the greatest issue in life of man the sustenance or earning of Bread. 5) Maintaining ties and relation as with wife then parents and then relatives and then friends. 6) Equality and Equal distribution of wealth, the cause of crimes and wars. If these 6 issues are not explained and clarified by a religion, it is not religion. RELIGION IS NOT AND NEVER WORSHIPPING IDOL AND IMAGES BY RITUALS. Religion is organizing our lives by Gods designed legislation, so that we leave tension free life and live in peace and harmony. The greatest issue of every human, since he wake up is ""struggle for survival"" If my religion does not address this major issue, but create the image of God, who is hungry of my worships and offering and is worship dependent God , it is not true religion. Common Sense The Glorious and Mighty God that organized this trillion light years universe and within it, the 1/2 half light second Planet Earth and in it, the tiny or minute or microscopic mans, will not and never be benefited by that man’s worship or temple or church visiting or mosque visiting. These places of visit, Temple or Church or Mosque should be a class room and lecture hall. That is instructing legislation of God and importance of honesty, patience in hardship and Gods purpose of creation and organization of universe. And the Mosque/Masjid is exactly the place of 2 in 1 duties, lecture in worship. And in Islam education is considered acts to worship 96:1. So, Mosque/Masjids of Islam are places of Lectures and educational class and are considered as worships. Because each verse of Quran taught, have multidimensional approaches that discuss ever act of your life. Imam or Teacher reciting verse of legislation of God on honesty, truthfulness, respecting relations, and whole class standing behind and listing to that lecture. When he pronounced Subhan-Allah which Allah the Perfectionists. And Subhan Allah is He the mighty on created every creation to height degree of perfection, form an ant to a star. When He is the mighy One is Perfectly planned and programmed and architected this universe and me, then why I have to worry, He is problem solver, He is tension releaser, He has my responsibility of providing me sustenance, He promised in so many verse 6:151 / 20:132 / 51:57/8 / 11:6 / 42:30 and much more. This is just one word I Explain and that to very shortly. Now compare the words you chant blind in you worships? not more that scrap. But Hinduism Create image of Hungry and Thirsty God, or I scratch your back and you scratch mine, type religion. If you need something from God, first offer God something and in turn God will solve your issue. If you need protection from God, God too require money for that treatment. See the Hindu rituals before and after purchasing, the emotional hijack by Hinduism. If you have to ask anything to a Hindu God, he requires Flowers, coconut and thread and donation as per your demand with God.

Mam, I have a doubt. I am accepting the facts you're saying. But, why are you saying this? How will it be helpful to us? What is the PURPOSE of vedanta?What can we do with this knowledge? What are you trying to say? How will this change our life? You are not giving importance to materialistic things. Here, in the current world, everything is materialistic. So, are you against all scientists, who are in software field etc... How are you trying to change all our lives? Again, I'm not against you. I just want to clear this doubt. Because, I listened to many of your videos and developed many beliefs unconsciously that intruded negatively in my daily life. So, I wanted to know what impact you wish to bring in every one of our lives.
I am disturbed by these messages about joining channel which come on. It is like someone is saying, "I am more important than Pravrajika Divyanandaprana" And the messages are not subtle and small but quite large. Advertising is everywhere. But it is a hindrance to listening to mataji. A small, polite message is far better and does not distract from the teaching.
Ma'am you said we see dreams in deep sleep whereas we only dream in REM ( rapid eye movement) which comes in order sleep>deep sleep> REM. I agree one self is very well exist in all three stages of sleep as well as in others as you said. But mind can't be shutdown in any possible states not even by meditation. Shuting down the mind is only possible by death when heart and mind both stops. Yes I agree truth is always there in all states but it matters how we perceive it. I am looking for some answers about self awareness can you you help me out?

If our senses are closed while we are sleeping, how is it that we are awakened by hearing loud noises, or by smelling fire? Our five senses are designed to keep us safe and are constantly monitoring our surroundings 24 hours a day, sending data back to the mind for a decision to be made if action is required.
Waking state Dream state Deep sleep state : Experience of absence....not absence of experience... Self awareness persists through these states... Awareness requires no efforts !
I don't understand one thing, why doest advaita vedanta not accept mind and brain is the same ? Why is there so much rigidness ? Isn't there a scope for improvement in scripture? There are so much correction that need to be made in ancient scriptures. The biggest problem with religion is that they want you to accept things their way. The moment you question them you becom ignorant for them. They know so much about self but they contribute so less to world. What is the use of all the knowledge in life?
A Question - In a deep sleep state if the mind is shut and senses are shut only the consciousness remains which shines the blankness (the experience of the absence of objects) then how we know that we had an experience of deep sleep because it should be store in memory and assuming memory is a part of the mind and however mind was shut?

It doesn't come in any of the 3 states, technically. Vedanta talks about 2 types of Samadhi - 1) Savikalpa ("I am aware that 'I' 'AM': and none/nothing else is"- here the subject-object relationship still exists) and 2) Nirvikalpa (progression of Savikalpa Samadhi into that state where subject-object relationship melts into the Absolute One- the Brahman/Atman/Witness-Consciousness). According to Patanjal Yoga Samadhi are of 2 types as well - Samprajnata and Asamprajnata. The above views are only as per books but in my own poor language. Kindly refere to Vedanta-Sara of Sadananda or Atmabodha Intro part by Swami Nikhilananda and/or Patanjal Yoga book for in-depth studying and understanding. Also Mandukya Upanisad by Swami Lokeswarananda. All available at advaitaashrama.org bookstore.
Religion is a Vehicle that everyone Expects to takes them to Architect of Universe called God/Eshwer/Allah. Everyone knows, purpose of life is Obedience of God, the Organizer and Father of Universe 51:56. And every one expects religion is the vehicle, that will take you to that Creator. Pay time and understand this:: Religion is not destination, but it is a vehicle, a transport system to travel through and reach God. We call Him by different names, due to His contact with us: 1) In different parts of Earth. 2) In different period of time. 3) Using different languages. 4) By different people. Hinduism, the oldest and outdated Vehicle that lost its name, purpose and its scriptures. Christianity, the Vehicle of which its driver was Mob Lynched and killed by Christians themselves. And there are many Vehicles (religion) in history, which claims and promise you, to take you to that Organizer of Universe, but the fact is, they don't even know route nor name of that Mighty Creator. And these vehicles (religions) started taking turns in between, and start making commercial and economic benefits from the people who gather under this vehicle in search of God and in expectation to reach God. The living example of these Vehicles that took turn are Churches and Temples and Darga/graves (not mosques) comes into existence, looking the huge money involved in it tampering the commands of God 18:7….. You all know Tons of Gold in Hindu Temple, and Trillions of Dollars in Churches accounts and these are collected by fabrication of stories and hijacks they journey and that are not true Vehicles….. Then the Creator Himself comes in action and communicates with humanity and commands. مَا أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ ﴿الذاريات: ٥٧﴾ Eshwer/Allah/God: “”I do not require from you any Provisions (money/donation) nor do I want any offerings”” إِنَّ اللَّـهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُ ﴿٥٨﴾ Definitely it is Allah/Eshwer, Who Himself is infinite Sustainer/Provider, with ultimate and infinite resources/power with Him 51:57/58. And command humanity the basic of true religion and way of global peace… وَأْمُرْ أَهْلَكَ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَاصْطَبِرْ عَلَيْهَا لَا نَسْأَلُكَ رِزْقًا نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُكَ وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ ﴿طه: ١٣٢﴾ Oh Humanity! Command your family be obedient and be patient (in hardship), I do not require sustenance (money offering) from you. It is Me, who will provide you, and are awards for those, who remain God fearing (do not cheat others, even in hardship) 20:132. But still temples collect Gold and churches dollars. Then, which vehicle (religion) is right vehicle, that will take you to that God? The Vehicle that the Creator Himself had designed and declared. 1) This is perfect and My designed Vehicle (religion) 5:3. 2) Only this vehicle will bring you to Me 3:85. 3) This vehicle is guaranteed, direct and save journey 15:9. And this Vehicle is named by Creator Himself Islam (The Obedience) 5:3 Then why are you worried? Because He the Mighty One did not used your local language? Because He did not selected representatives from you part of earth? Because He did not preferred your part of time / period ? This problem is normal. If He the mighty one selected Chinese, then American will have problem and vice versa. If he selected and used Russian language then French will have problem and vice versa. But know, the time, the language and the people He “The Wise One selected”, is with greatest wisdom and science, and we can’t reach that wisdom and science. So agree with the decision of that Mighty One, it is bound to be good for all if you object now reject His decision, you will come in crime in objection of his mighty ones decision. Now you know what you don’t before, so of you ignore Him be prepared to face Him. You live 80 years, but this universe, galaxies and stars and planets is living since trillions of years. The decision is yours…..

After praising, and thanking Allah he said: “O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and take these words to those who could not be present here today. O people, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds. Allah has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things. O people, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah’s trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste. O people, listen to me in earnest, worship Allah, say your five daily prayers (Salah), fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to. All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor does a black have any superiority over white, except by piety (Taqwa/strength of Trust in God) and good action (kindness to humanity). Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves. Remember, one day you will appear before Allah and answer your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone. O people, no prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O people, and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the Qu'ran and my example, the Sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray. All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O Allah, that I have conveyed your message to your people”.
