Yep, this year I need some kind wins.

Unfortunately that what is considered "cool" now, especially with short films. You either have to start in the middle so that you don't show ANY plot setup, character development, etc. or you start at the beginning and end during the second act so you don't have to bother writing an ending. Then you just say that there is no ending because they wanted each viewer to choose how they wanted it to end. It's the epitome of lazy writing when you ask the view to do your job. If you are incapable of writing the 3 acts of any movie, conventional or short(beginning, middle, end), either write another story or just admit you are a shitty writing incapable of doing the job and give up. I have watched short movies here on YT for many years on channels like Dust and Alter. 99 out of 100 are garbage because they intentionally omit the first or third act. But I watch them because when that 1 out of 100 comes along it's a fantastic breath of fresh air. BTW, the best short on Dust is called "The Leap". It was actually posted a couple years before it was on Dust but it got more exposure on Dust so that is great for the people that made it. Great story and great job of picking the actor and actress.

My thoughts too when the screen went black, I was about to shout at the screen as I do with so many unfinished shorts. So glad this had an intelligent ending.

I thought so, too! I cannot wait until the current fads of severe geometric eyebrows, harsh overly done hair prosthetics, garish fingernails, and fake hips and butts are over and done with. Just when you think the age of Madison Avenue dictating feminine appearance is finally over, they sneak up from behind you and do it again. And to think, that one Kardashian; who is famous for no other reason than being rich, is the only woman that so many women are trying to look like. And all the while, she's been trying to look like 70s Cher (minus the hips).

I think she's beautiful and I love her voice and accent. Gorgeous eyes too. They look green towards the end. I hope I see Leah Egan again real soon.

@@quemeese [ SPOILER ALERT- DONT READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED THE FILM YET] Because of what is written in the the thumbnail/title one can easily conclude/ know that someone in the film has supernatural powers. The film begins with the shots of a little girl and then possibly a flash forward to an adult woman. i decided that it was the adult woman who had supernatural powers before only a minute or two had passed..

I am betting her own abilities made that fall harmless to her.

Create it for yourself: that's the beauty of imagination: you can write the sequel any way you wish :-)

I feel like you are the only person in this comment section who got this right ❤...The rest of them going on about superpowers and being a super power couple and having supernatural babies 🙄.....you can see it went way over most people's heads...Super powers are a stand-in for feeling different, like you do not belong, being isolated and alone, being unable to connect with people and form relationships - although you are quite a capable person, so no real obvious explanation why you have no boyfried/girlfriend, friends etc. Hence feeling like a freak although you clearly have stuff going for you - but for some inexplicable reason you just do not manage to capitalize on it... That is why you have these two people in the film having super powers - but still each somehow being a loser and totally unhappy and alone...Nothing to do with flipping putting mugs back together! 😁

The couple just naturally blend well on screen & that's the kind of magic TV producers want for series television. Maybe somebody will pick it up...who knows? ...Enjoy!
