I was kinda hoping Nile Red would be around when Charlie did the dildo science video with a bunch of the science RU-vidrs. So a future collab is something I look forward to lol
@@Criox_v2 Speaking of Suzan, RU-vid really has a poor idea of their priorities don't they? Instead of removing the dislike button, they should be free removing these annoying bots.
The reason why it tastes sour is because it actually makes it more acidic, the same thing happens with rain picking up carbon dioxide in the air and making acid rain, the acidic taste is associated with sour milk, and it doesn’t taste well because milk is generally fairly basic
"He won't drink milk if it's been out of the fridge for more than 10 minutes but he'll drink from a jar of carbonated alfredo" Nutrition priorities, Matt.
If I am remembering right from chemistry class, CO2 dissolved in water makes it acidic/lowers the pH, so I wouldn't be surprised if it does (at least partially) sour the milk.
Adds a rather off-putting bitter taste to it too which is why most sodas/carbonated drinks contain a lot of sugar to offset. I had a soda streamer before and it was most notable in tap water, always thought it was just some chemical additive they put in Perrier or sparkling waters but it's just the carbonation that adds that funky taste. Not surprising that they liked the sugary drinks and hated the other stuff that don't have added sugars. You need something strong to hide it even if it's not sugary, sugar free cranberry juice or prune juice are strong so no surprise with preferring the carbonated version there...
As someone who had been trying to drink prune juice to help with ass problems, Im so happy with Charlie and Matt's reaction to it. It really is just that HORRID. I couldn't do it. Absolutely disgusting. And I also actually made the comparison to gasoline, so I'M GLAD I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE TO THINK THAT LMAO.
I was thirsty and we didn’t have any water bottles and I refused to drink tap water so a drank a bottle of prune juice got a headache drank water when my mom brought some and shit my brains out. Still better than tapwater
If you over pressurize the bottle over and over they could eventually explode, it's kind of like tempering metal or glass. Just try to use fresh bottles for "experiments", and then the used bottles for water only.
It's "fatigue loading". "Tempering" has nothing to do with that as far as I know (do you have any reference for that?). I'm no expert of polymer fatigue but it's not fragile like glass or some metals: I guess it would not explode but only puncture and leak. It's likely also too overdesigned anyway.
@@murdey "Tempering" only apply to ferrous alloys after "quenching". The general treatment to reduce damage is "annealing". Anyway the bottle is a polymer so it doesn't have crystals. You can form semicrystaline polymers I guess but still no true crystals. (I studied the effect of annealing on a titanium alloy for an aerospace company few years ago)
from a Chemistry perspective, just an FYI but those bottles they give you to carbonate the drinks is requisite since it allows the CO2 to dissolve instead of just interacting with the substrate. The pressurized system the bottle makes allows for the CO2 to basically just turn into a liquid and allow dissolution. Without that pressure, nothing is "keeping it down" so to speak.
Content like this and the heat challenges and Charlie games are all so good lately to the point where im really expecting 2022 to be a great year for content from this channel.
I love watching Charlie in these styles of videos. As someone who's only been watching his videos for less than a week 😮 the only previous encounters that I'd had was when other RU-vid hosts would show clips of his reaction videos of situations that made him angry. I never realised how much of a kid at heart he was
We got some milk action, we got some airlock action, philosophical questions like "why do babies get the best food?" Overall, a good episode of spongebob.
If you want good "carbonated milk" try Milkis! It's a Korean soda and it's really good! It's sort of a yogurt-ish flavor but it's sweet and nice. It comes in little cans and you can get it at most H-marts and similar places that will sell Korean snacks. I highly recommend it.
the spout from the machine has to be actually *inside* the liquid for it to work at all, half the things that failed only failed because the bottle wasnt full enough, youre just blowing at the sauce with CO2
I remember distinctly remembering watching one of these "irl" videos a while ago and thinking "gee this would actually be entertaining if they edited it down to under 20 mins" and lo and behold here it is! Good work this video is great!
I remember when pewdiepie was doing his series were he would buy shit online and test them. He actually reviewed this product! Good old days... thanks for the good shit boys.
@@Littledidtheyknow what exactly is “Cold Ones” and what happens on it? I’ve seen “Hot Ones” and it’s with Hot Wings, but I just can’t seem to think of what they possibly use on that show. Unless it’s like Ice Cream or Popsicles or something idk 🤷🏼♂️
😂😂😂😂 right! I was just cringing throughout the whole video when they got their hands completely covered in whatever they were going to carbonate next when they could have VERY EASILY just used a funnel! I’m willing to bet that they even have a funnel in their home somewhere and just didn’t think about it for whatever reason.
Fuck yeah! ever since I got a soda stream I wondered what carbonated milk would be like but I've always been afraid to do it and ruin the soda stream lmao
Any injuries during filming? I once bought some carbonated water that was so over-carbonated that one mouthful would leave you with chest pains. Unfortunately been avoiding carbonated drinks ever since.
I remember really liking hospital prune juice as a kid. (My mom was in the hospital quite a bit when I was young.) In fact, I liked prunes in general. My Mema always had the Sunsweet Ones prunes, and everytime I came over I'd always ask for some. They were just another snack to me, and honestly they still are now. I haven't had that specific brand in years but my mom bought some off-brand prunes and I can just snack on 'em no problem. I think the most I've eaten at a time is four. Anyways, I like prunes and I used to like the juice as a kid, so I wonder how I'd react to it since y'all are having a very negative reaction, lol. People most likely get it to relieve serious constipation, so I'm sure taste is the least of their concerns. I think bearing through the pain of the flavor to easy the pain in your gut is a necessary sacrifice.
I used to work at a place that made egg cream soda (no actual eggs); which was really just milk, carbonated water, and flavored syrup. It wasn't bad but definitely interesting. I've never thought about directly carbonating milk though. Matt making the forbidden cran-apple sauce soda was genius.
When I was in highschool, I started drinking prune juice because I thought it would help with weight loss, so I drank it daily for like a year. I treated it like medicine. I can now digest any liquid no matter how bad it tastes.
I just started studying film and video production, and while watching this video I couldn’t help but notice the difference in color temp between the two cameras. I would have never noticed it before, but now its all I see and its driving me insane. The wide angle camera seems to just have more of a greenish tint while the other camera looks a lot more natural
I think Charlie has a fetish for sharing saliva. He will always go out of his way not to use separate cups, utensils, or plates. If there are 10 people, everyone will eat straight out of the same ice cream bucket instead of using bowls.
