Science Mom Folds a Book from One Piece of Paper

Oh wow, I'm so glad I found this tutorial! I had only made one book similar to this years ago, and I had done it all from written instructions. I'm not great with spacial relationships, so it was pretty stressful! This was so fantastic to see just how you flipped it and where you put the glue. For those who are spacially challenged like me, watch this on a phone or tablet so that you can rotate the phone to make the video upside down so that Science Mom's hands are right next to yours!

Love it! And love how the pages come out as folded edges, not sharp as in other folded books. However, can you move the camera position so that we are seeing you fold as if we are looking at the page the way you are, so we don't have to do it upside down? That would help a lot. Also, if you would be sure to note which part of the page needs to be in the upper right or left-hand corner will prevent the mistakes I made with my first attempts. Thank you!

Great videos and I love the idea of the bookelets. Unfortunately I had a really hard time following the directions. Do you have them written somewhere? I see the letters on the back of the page but don't know how to use them. The part where you said so on and so forth is the part I became lost. The paper and hand were in the way visually and I needed more repitition for it to make sense.

My grandson loves her books and says they are just the right size:-)

I really like these booklets. (Can be used for so many things) What I found really interesting was that you were able to print on to it. I thought it would be a really neat idea to make a booklet like this for maybe passwords or maybe phone numbers, important information etc, and then it can be put in a wallet. I'm very curious how you formatted the document. Maybe a table? Did you use Word? Also, was the print right side up in some rows and upside down in others to compensate for the folding to make the book? Sorry for so many questions but it's really interesting and I would love to be able to replicate it if possible. Thanks! : )

That was as clear as mud for me... it went SO FAST and I glued it all wrong! LOL! Perseverance... I'll try again.

Hey Science Mum! Thanks for this it's great! is there somewhere I can find out how to lay out the pages? I'm guessing they are not all in the same direction (up) on the page before cutting and assembling? Pls let me know, and thanks again! this is awesome!

The page before the last one with the way the water goes is exactly like that in my geography book in Germany (11.Grade, G8 Gymnasium Bayern)

Excellent for cheating in an exam

I am an experienced multimedia artist with decades of experience. This is a poor video. The trouble starts around 1:54, where important instructions like turning the paper over and around are left out. I finally got it done, but only by NOT following the video. The artist should redo this video as soon as possible.
