I personally think that it was caused by a mix of natural and induced pressure. There are a lot of oils pumping operations there. It might have not been the main cause, but i definitely think it could have been a factor.
Earthquakes have been occurring in this area regularly (every 2-3 days) for months, though not of this magnitude. Today's was a 2.5. 2023 Update: quakes are daily, sometimes over 20 per day usually ranging from 2's to 3's, occasional 4. Most are small enough to not be felt by a person, but what are the cumulative effects of so many low-level quakes as compared to one larger one that makes the news?
