This is such a time capsule!!! I sometimes miss the old Comcast 💔!!! It’s a MIRACLE you’re still available to keep such an old cable box with the old look!
I Miss The Scientific Atlanta Boxes, They Used This Guide From Time Warner Cable (Later Spectrum) And Watched Nick Jr. On These Boxes From 2014 or 2015 to 2020 When Nothing Was Good On Nick Jr. Anymore, I Hope This Design Comes Back For All Devices If It Hasn't Yet, (Excluding Pluto TV)
We had several Motorola boxes from 2005-2015 that used this guide. I miss it a lot. They were so simple and easy to use. And best of all, they didn’t take an hour to start up!
I'm old enough to remember when Comcast (and it's predecessors in my area... AT&T Broadband and MediaOne) was using HollyAnne EAS hardware with the famous Idea/Onics character generator. It was that same blue "EAS Transmission" screen, and I have a lot of memories of being frightened of that screen in particular. It was in use from 1999, until around 2009/2010 when it was replaced with an EASyPLUS unit, and eventually the modern-day Monroe unit.
Only as an OnDemand listing apparently. It has probably sat empty since the block dissolved 5 or so years ago. Still, I have no clue why they would keep it if it's going to stay permanently empty.
