The earth is a living body too.. By digging into it for our greed we are making this living body shallow and hollow from inside.i By digging the living earth for oil and so on its like draining out blood from the human body...and after doing so how can we expect the body's immune system to fight and protect us from external bacteria and viruses found in the air.
