Noah was with the ONE GOD, not many, these 'gods" you speak of are fallen angels that corrupted and defiled creation. The giants were wiping out mankind so God told Noah to prepare.

There was also genetic engineering going on experimentation on animals which led to strange genetic looking things and this is where we get a lot of the dinosaurs that we see remains of destroyed in the flood... only certain animals were allowed on the ark, and as far as we know, there was only one or two kinds of dinosaur types that were found later on with a man's footprint in it, and therefore that specie survived after the flood. We know that the flood occurred because the Bible tells us it was due to the fact that man's thoughts were continuously Wicked! We're getting awfully close to being in that same condition again today; and so we fulfill Christ's words for those happenings as "in the days of Noah so shall it be in the coming of the son of man." Luke 17:26-30.
