SciFest@TCPID (the Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities) had to be cancelled in 2020 and again in 2021 due to the Covid pandemic so we were all delighted to be back in Regent House in TCD on 2 June 2022.
The event is supported each year by Abbott Ireland and a number of Abbott volunteers work with the students prior to the exhibition to help them with their projects. This year there were 11 projects on display. It was busy but as in previous years the enthusiasm of the students, their confidence and pride in their work was inspirational. It was also lovely to meet a number of past participants.
Congratulations to the Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities team and to all the students who presented projects.
SciFest@TCPID 2022 was attended by a number of TCPID Business Partners and guests from across Trinity College, as well as by the students' families and friends.
Attendees included:
The Minister for Further and Higher Education, Minister Simon Harris
The Provost of Trinity College Dublin, Dr. Linda Doyle
Professor Carmel O'Sullivan, Head of the School of Education
Mary Regan, RTE News (The item made it onto the RTE News: Six
One broadcast later that day - lnkd.in/eAmAdht7).
