The worse thing you can say in the garage - It should be done quickly.:P Good job mate, props for presenting the real deal of a job, not just edited/polished version:) Cheers!

Those scissor lifts are really nice. Would love to have those in my own garage! Amazing you did the majority of the work yourself. Most people would have had to have a pro-installer do it.

Mate it was hard work like took me quite a while and had a few teething issues but once they were all sorted it was golden! The lift definitely is saving my back! Thats for sure. Thanks again for the kind words Joe, I really appreciate it! 😁

What do you do if you are lifting a short wheel base car? Won't the ramps hit the tyres? Also how high can you lift a car before it hits the ceiling? Ta

I’m building a shop next spring and am thinking of when we do the concrete to plan for these from the start. Any recommendations on how to make it a smooth install? How thick is the concrete part the lift is actually sitting on? Also do you know the dimensions of the cut out area to make them level with the floor? Thanks!
@PrestigeDetailingStudio
@PrestigeDetailingStudio 4 года назад
Thats great! Make sure to tag me on Instagram so I can follow the build! Tips on installing, good rigging skills and definitely get a friend to help! Concrete underneath is 10 inches thick as per manufacturer specifications, i upgraded to thicker longer Concrete anchors. Concrete wise just measure the hight of the lift and dig enough down to have the thickness and enough room at the top for the lift to sit in. Hope that helps! Check out this video if you havnt done so already ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CWKeAIdIsQQ.html

Was your floor 100% level before installation. I'm looking to get one installed in my studio but i have a slightly inclined concrete floor
@PrestigeDetailingStudio
@PrestigeDetailingStudio 4 года назад
Hi! I think all floors are slightly inclined towards the door! there's a tolerance of 5 percent but there's a 10 inch concrete pad under each lift and they're pretty level!

Enjoying the content so far but I think its time to invest in a better microphone

Hi Steve! Thanks for the feedback! Already onto it, I've invested in a wireless lapel set-up so next video the audio should be much better, the Rode video mic pro plus I have now is great but only when closer to the camera.

and a set of steel capped boots, pure luck that he still has his toes

@@shellite Hi! As I do appreciate your concern for my safety. As a wearer of steel cap boots all my adult life I can tell you that if I had dropped this 400KG unit on my foot even with steel cap boots the boots wouldn't have done anything. They're designed to protect your feet from heavy boxes, not 400kg lifts. Also the floor crane is designed so that your feet are no where near whatever is being lifted. Again I really appreciate your concern, have a nice day!

What concert thickness does Happ recommend for the hires lift?
@PrestigeDetailingStudio
@PrestigeDetailingStudio 3 года назад
Hi Ian! manufacturers recommendation is the lift to be installed on concrete 10 inches or roughly 20cm thick with reinforcing. cheers!
