Tony, Mike, and Brian reunite to talk about Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. This sequel to the super succesful live action Scooby-Doo movie often gets overlooked. Is it bad? Is it underrated? Is it even better than the first? Well one thing is for sure and that's that it is way better than the new Velma show!

The rumor is that Velma was pitched as a completely different show, picked up as that show, and then the studio decided last minute that it needed to be tied to an established IP instead of the planned new IP to garner interest. Thus, Scooby-Doo was slapped onto it

Oh this should be good. I honestly have a soft spot for the two Scooby-Doo movies, then again, it’s cause they came out when I was a kid, but I still find them harmless for the most part. And from what I’ve heard about Velma…yeah…I’m afraid to hear what they could massacre next. Looking forward to this Tony!

I literally watched the pilot to Velma this morning because I was curious if it was THAT bad since it's been getting review bombed harder than Rings of Power...and it turns out that yes it is THAT bad. Like SUPER bad without a single redeeming moment.

Scooby Doo 2 is a really fun movie. I didn’t like the first one as a kid because it was so weird and out there. I enjoy that one as an adult ironically now. However, they absolutely nailed the casting in that movie, and that’s one of the reasons Scooby Doo 2 works so well. It’s the cast from the first movie but in a traditional Scooby Doo adventure. The monster designs are taken straight from the cartoons, and I thought the character arcs were better too. BTW I thought Velma was hotter than Daphne before this, but this movie definitely reaffirmed that for me. I thought there were some really fun jokes, and it had a pretty decent score and soundtrack like the fanfare version of the theme song and a great use of Bon Jovi in the climax.

I really love this film; guilty pleasure sure but also I was playing Scooby Doo Night of 100 Frights on PS2 which is pretty much the best Scooby game and this film reminded me of it so much since I spent quite a lot of time playing that game.

If you want to watch a Scooby show that is mature, changes characters for the better while staying true to the source material, & stylish animation, watch Mystery Incorporated instead of Velma

That one guy Fred is unlikable Me that’s just Freddy Prince Jr personality So I was hoping this was going to trash the Velma show more and say what this got right despite it’s flaws Vs just making something and not caring about the source material like they described Daphne is just being Dumb and Hot But Daphne was in Scooby and Scrappy was it was the two dogs and Shaggy …like if Mindy wanted to have her own Mike Tyson Mysteries type show with just her it probably would’ve been fine But to attach yourself to an IP for a soulless paycheck feels dirty but it could just be Adult perspective that sometimes there’s no love and passion in making a thing it all just profit

Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed in my opinion the sequel is better than the first Scooby-Doo movie. Velma the new show I have no interest to see it I saw the trailer it look bad the jokes are not really funny so yeah it's definitely not for me and I'm not surprised a lot of people are pretty upset.
