The fact someone took the time to make an actual Scooby Doo x FNAF themed episode, but also Animate it to look like an old Rankin/Bass Stop Motion animation is just Insane.
Hey guys Eagan here. I’ve already apologized on Twitter over the AI stuff but I thought I’d comment here. This video was made by me and me alone as a joke. I’ve never had any experience with the voice acting community as I’ve only been animating for less than a year and I’ve never worked with anyone, so I didn’t understand that it was such a big issue. Im working on making a new version with voice actors and I have no plans to use AI in the future, it was just the means to an end on an already no budget project and I didn’t realize the harm in it. Sorry again, thanks everyone.
If people keep giving you a hard time about it, don't bend the knee to them again. They'd rather see you ruined than improve yourself over a mistake. That's why you must always keep working, because your work is incredible and you deserve to feel proud about it.
Man, I am so sorry that people are making such a big deal out of this! I am glad that you can own up to a simple mistake and get past it. I personally loved this, and I really didn’t see the harm in using AI to make the voices in this way. But I will definitely be checking out your next version and I bet it will be even better without the AI!
It's sad that people we're complaining about him using AI voices but you have to remember that there is a difference between an indie animator using AI for voice acting, and a company that can afford to hire voice actors using AI. Personally I think this is exactly what Al should be used for. Projects made by small teams or individuals who don't have the resources to pay people. It allows them to make their vision possible, and it's not taking work away from anyone. The people criticizing him for using Al are wrong. They probably thought the video was so well made that a large team with loads of cash was probably behind it. Anyways love the animation and its sad how quick people are to critique
Exactly, it's a small project that he isn't trying to monetize. You could use the ai voices as possible placeholders in case a project like this wanted to get some actual VAs.
I personally think that using AI for just something small and innocent like a little animation such as this is completely fine as long as nobody who's voices you use specifically say they don't want AI voices of characters they voice. This isn't supposed to be a big public thing. It was just a thing somebody made for fun and they decided to publish it. I think AI generally is good in this situation. I use AI for a lot of things too. I never use it to cause any harm, just for harmless fun which is what I feel like AI should be used for. I know people have complained saying how you can easily find free voice actors and stuff with this project but if it was never intended to be anything more than a silly little animation that was never expected to get as noticed as it has, it shouldn't be an issue. Besides, not everybody finds it easy to get other involved with personal projects. I would never feel brave enough to ask others to do things for me, even for free. That's why I use AI for my personal things I'd never release publicly.
The amount of effort that was put into this animation is insane. I love the Rankin Bass style for the characters, if I hadn't known any better I would have legit thought it was a real stop motion.
I have heard (what I thought was a term) “Rankin Bass” before and never knew how to spell it until reading this comment. I also now realize what it is.
Yeah... most folks probably only know them for being the ones who made "that one movie with Snow Miser and Heat Miser", but their stuff is really good in general. Very iconic and distinct!
@@Lumberjack_king it's the same thing with an animation made by Worthikids, Captain Yajima. It emulates a style of stopmotion of the 70s and 80s as well, but this time as an anime episode. And I was _also_ baffled to learn it also wasn't actually stopmotion! I definitely recommend it!
Also, thanks for your video Dawko! I grew up watching you so it’s a bit surreal to see you talking about me and praising my work. I really appreciate it.
Man you're badassely awesome! I don't know what project you're onto but surely it's will be goodest at least, and maybe you could do some more crossover animations? (Not only Scooby, but surely I love to see more teenage criminal hunters team with talking dog!) love and happiness to you, from Ukraine 🇺🇦
The amount of effort that Eagan have put into this whole animation is absolutely insane and incredible at the same time! I've been a fan of Scooby Doo for so long now ever since I've watched it on TV, VHS, or even got introduced by my parents. i also love the Rankin Bass style for these characters and the stop motion type of animations throughout my childhood, ever since I watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer for the first time, and of course you've already know that I really love FNAF since 2014. Anyways, they did a pretty good job on capturing both Scooby Doo and FNAF pretty well, along with the Rankin Bass style of both animations and characters alike, and it brought back my childhood to life. It felt like I was watching Saturday Morning Cartoons all over again on TV in the 80s, 90s, or even the early 2000s. Definitely felt like a cream come true
This little homage to original Scooby Doo also brought out my childhood, I would spend countless mornings or nights watching reruns of the classic Scooby Doo series! (I sure hope Scott Cawthon sees this little cartoon and I'll even watch it during Spooky Month!)
Yeah most of the comments on the original video say how epic and accurate this was. I have a ton of old episodes of Scooby Doo Where are You on Apple TV since I was a little kid, so this was nostalgic even for me. I knew all the music and gags and the laugh track and everything was just so on point it's not even funny. But more just pure awesome. This deserves an award of some kind.
So glad this is getting attention! It’s a work of art, seamlessly blending two iconic franchises together while simultaneously rendering the whole thing in a classic Rankin Bass styled stop motion aesthetic (even though this was apparently NOT done with real stop motion but apparently in Blender which blows my mind even MORE).
I swear, eagan really out did himself with these models and sets. I even love how they remind me of those old christmas animations that's always shown. Like rudolph for example. And like always, keep being awesome dawko and keep up the amazing work!
This creator is did a better job recreating the spirit and feel of classic Scooby Doo than ANY Hollywood work trying to skate by on remakes today, and did it WITH a modern franchise mashup, and those models are phenomenal. I'm really impressed.
This was actually amazing! I didn't realize how well FNAF fit the Scooby-Doo formula of a disgruntled employee dressing up in a costume to scare people. Great job!
I really do like the animation style they went for this vid It reminds me of those stop motion Christmas films and instead of making it Unnecessarily disturbing they actually decided to come up with something new
Agree, and not to mention how they stick with the classic way of the sauce thing, but things I really disliked is how the whole Hollywood blacklisted our guy, who didn't do anything wrong but use ai with the voice acting
I've already watched this three times, and man, I adore it to pieces! I dunno if folks know this, but the style of the dolls in the animation is actually very reminiscent of those used by Rankin/Bass Animations in their stopmotion movies, of which include A Year Without Santa Claus. Aka, the one with Snow Miser and Heat Miser. The dolls in this animation however, are both true to the style of that company, and to the characters of the Scooby Doo show, but that's not even the part I find most impressive. Alongside the fact this was all animated in _Blender,_ and not with actual stopmotion (which I still find really hard to believe), they ported the elements of the FNaF series to this style almost seamlessly! The way Springtrap is shaped and designed, the way he poses, the way he runs after Scooby and Shaggy, he looks and _feels_ like a classic Scooby Doo monster! Same thing for the whole animation, the music used, the jokes and lines... literally everything feels very genuine!
@@shinobitreecko8442Fun Fact: His original name, S.D. Kluger, stands for "Special Delivery Kluger", so his name in this video, S.G. Kluger, most likely stands for "Security Guard Kluger".
Honestly, if Eagan was able to make more Scooby-Doo episodes, each one based on a different indie horror game, I would love to watch each one, constantly feeling like a kid again, watching the old show on Cartoon Network.
Honestly Eagans effort that was put into this video…wow. This video was honestly insane and felt like a real episode of Scooby Doo. He captured everything perfectly and the video itself, couldn’t have been more perfect.
I’ve been trying to find a lore video to introduce my husband, without confusing him too much when the movie comes out. And of all the hours of MatPats videos and other lore theory videos, the one that ended up being the best introduction was this lil 10 minute Scooby Doo parody lol! I love it so much! Especially the Rankin Bass stop motion animation style
The security guard in the animation is similar to that one model in that one Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer stop motion movie in the 1970s I think. He was the postman that was telling all the stories.
Do you like eyeballs Do you like eyeballs Do you like eyeballs Do you like eyeballs Do you like eyeballs Do you like eyeballs Do you like eyeballs Do you like eyeballs Do you like eyeballs
Scooby Doo is my literal childhood and FNAF is my literal adulthood, so seeing them mixed into one Scooby Doo episode is just fueling my inner child and FNAF theorist.😂
No joke I watched this video last night and the first thing that came to my mind was I need to see people making reaction videos on it so I’m so glad Lewis has reacted to it
Even though it only lasted for 10 Minutes, I can still get a real kick outta how good this Fanmade Crossover turned out. Its like I just saids Hours ago, its a true Masterpiece of Art.
I'm kinda surprised you didn't recognize the Rankin-Bass art style. They created timeless classics like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town, The Year Without a Santa Claus, and Frosty the Snowman.
June 19th is a Don't Hug Me I'm Scared reference! Every day up until the last episode (of the original series) has June 19th on the calendar behind them!
I love this so much why couldn’t they made this long time ago when I was a kid plus I also loved Scooby doo watching it when I got home from school brings back memories
Considering all the Shaggy memes we’ve got, it was already destined to come true 👍 And they even managed to capture the show down to even the smallest of details. This is the crossover of the century right here
That was amazing love how it was made and it was very respectful to Scooby doo and fnaf. Me and my daughter love scooby doo she has just about every dvd of scooby doo still missing a few.
Why is Dawko so good at every voice??? Never thought I'd see Fred from Scooby-Doo close the doors from fnaf nor Shaggy singing the "Los Toreadors" but here we are 😅 Also a new episode of the Fredbear's Family Diner (the one you've previously reacted to) has released so it would be cool to see you react to it as well!
That was really cool. I'm a 90s kid through and through. I agree that the classic cartoons, including Scooby-Doo, have held up really well over the years. Zombie Island was a really big turning point for the franchise. The art style, the story, Fred and Daphne getting an official romance arc, and OMG the soundtrack. 😂 It was just great!
Thanks for sharing this stuff with us Dawko. I don't find myself very involved in the fandom deep enough to find these things and I really appreciate you bringing so much cool & unique fan-generated content to our attention! Always lovely to see your passion & love for this franchise. 🤝❤
