If they get rid of the screens, remove the Scrappy Doo part and bring back the old elevator voice line and put Scooby animatronics back throughout the ride it will be great again.
I wish the lady wasn’t screaming because I’m at it right now waiting in line, and I just finished being on super man so I wish she didn’t scream so I could be prepared
The purple and green lights kinda ruined it. The last time I went on it you could actually see the track pretty well but in a certain way that you couldn't see the flour making it look like an infinite hole.
I went on it and it is so frickin fun it has so much fun twists turns drops and crazy lights and when your waiting for the ride you can watch a Scooby doo movie or sit down
Really that CGI is what movieworld managed to do with all the money they got? Looks like a PS3 game, speaking of video games the monsters make the same sound fx as the original DOOM games. Been my favorite ride since I was a kid that's now turn to trash with this Next Generation version.
yeah its bad and rip to some of aussies only animantronics in rides but.. at least we still have the ride and its still got the thrilling turns and earrape turnaround!
My older siblings always talked about how great this ride was when it first opened, it was pitch black, foggy as hell, music was loud, lasers were bright as well, it was cold and the ride was fast, animatronics were brand new...it sounded like a great time
As someone who has a special place in their heart for the original ride, this isn't much of an upgrade but rather a disappointing refurbishment... The projections are so cheap...
The new lighting is cool, but the new introduction/prelude? What were they thinking? Scooby-Doo has always been an extremely popular ride at Movie World - what was the point of changing it?
My it's changed a bit. I was obsessed with Scooby Doo when I was little. I went on this with my family when I was 7, it was a dream come true! The parts I loved were the animatronics of scooby, from what I recall, there was also a flying ghost that roared when the ride picked up speed. That scared me but I loved it. That was back in 2009. Most recently in 2016 we made the trip back, and it still hadn't changed even then. While it looks really cool now and this ride will hold a special place in my heart. It's really nothing compared to my first experience 💙
Do you know what it's looks good I love it so much it's looks like new ride using universal studios hollywood new ride 100th birthday party anniversary celebration party years 35th anniversary celebration party years
the first time i went on this was when i was 8 i cried after and i went to movie land a couple weeks ago (11 now) and i never went on scooby doo because i was to scared but now i saw this I WANNA GO ON IT MY SISTER TOLD ME I WAS GONNA REGRET NOT GOING ON IT SHE WAS RIGHT!
Oh ffs. WHY O WHY do people have to fiddle with things and make them crap. Why didn't you just respect heritage and leave the thing the way it was? I won't bother going back now - I'd rather remember it the way it was.
The coaster track looks fun. Whoever designed the 'ambience' and ok'ed those visuals though....like yikes, they are TERRIBLE. Embarrassingly so. Thank god the ride is going through a redesign right now.
Bring back the animatronics! These screens look cheap and tacky! The speakers for the music in the main coaster bit could also be better laid out or louder. The lighting in the coaster room is pretty great though.
This ride is terrible and does not warrant more than a 10 minute wait. Kind of dark ride which it does terribly and a bad wild mouse. Does not lean into the characters of Scooby so much, strange music playing . I’d 1000 times would rather have the gremlins ride in this spot .
Okay. What would make it great for people on both sides. Keep the fast pace strobe lights room, get rid of the screens with the crappy cgi monsters, and keep in all the animatronics. That would make it perfect again.
So they made the thing from the movie real. Kinda. As someone who has always wanted to ride it, this is a dream come true, and I'm surprised I've never heard about it until now. Ignorant American things, I guess.
They ruined the ride. I'm so angry with this. It's the scooby doo ride not whatever they turned it into. Upgrade something else. They could of just fixed up the ride and refurbish current parts not replace them with different parts. I'm honestly surprised people still enjoy this ride.
They closed it down and gutted the inside castle walls around the track area because it didn't meet fire standards for the inspections that took place after the dreamworld raft accident. The new walls were also delayed.
i went on it at the beginning of 2018 and it was absolutely bull shit, they should've closed it can't believe you went a year later and it was the same.
