I love that this was a draw. Nobody wanted to see either of these best boys go down, and given what both are capable of, it only made sense that neither did. Plus, Eustace finally got exactly what he deserved, which is a great bonus.
A detail I think goes under-appreciated is that when Courage disintegrates Scooby's head, he panics, and when Scooby pulls his head back out, he smiles instead of panicking more. Courage thought he had accidentally killed his friend and was relieved he hadn't. Their friendship might also be why Courage used the God Bone as a weapon instead of a stationary hazard, since he didn't want to subject Scooby to a slow death by its mind control.
This battle was not only the best of Season 10 (next to Bill vs Discord), but the best BATTLE in all the series! Best crossover since the actual Scooby and Courage crossover. There was a loser for this battle, it was Eustace Bagg.
12:20 In issue #12 of the 'Scooby-Doo! Team-Up' comic book series, Shaggy and Scooby ended up being the reason Sinestro lost his powers that issue. Why? "We scare ourselves silly all the time!" - Shaggy. Yes, the fear they caused themselves was great to the point Sinestro's ring claimed they had the power to instill the greatest fear of all as it then became something the duo used. TL;DR The fear within Shaggy and Scooby was greater than anything Sinestro could conjure, thus making them better suited candidates.
22:06 Well yes, and the idea was he only found the “Courage” to stand up and do so was thanks to Scooby allowing him to move past his fears and still keep fighting on to save the ones he loves And I love that contrast. Courage saved the day but only got to where he is cause of the part Scooby played changing his perspective
may i just say i love the sheer irony that these two are basically immortal, unstoppable gods terrified to the point of causing this conflict by a simple man in a mask and both want the other to deal with it. and while their impossiblle powers clash with no clear winner it takes them all of two seconds to actually beat him once they try? it's a thing of beauty, and wonderfully captures the feel of their show.
Mickey has continuously survived stuff like this, the most recent example being from The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse. Likewise, Bugs doesn’t particularly have a way around Mickey’s thinner because its not regular erasure, its more like thinner from Who Framed Rodger Rabbit
This battle was AMAZING!! I grew up watching both of these shows and they’re a HUGE part of my childhood! I’m honestly happy that it ended with a tie cause I would be legit upset if one of them died and more than satisfied the Esutace got what he deserves This battles is up there with bill vs discord!!
Scooby Doo vs Courage has reached PEAK FICTION STATUS! 5 PEAK FICTION EPISODES IN A ROW! LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO! If Rick vs The Doctor can make it 6, then it’s gonna be 🔥!
The best part of this season was that they did all their marvel and dc fights right away, and had nothing but bangers back to back to back right after with some episodes being some of my all time favorite episodes
Fun episode! Easily one of the best, and that’s saying something. Kudos to everyone involved, especially with the animation. Probably one of the best they’ve done from scope of ambition to quality. Still got some episodes left to go so maybe I’m getting ahead of myself, but I can’t see Season 10 *not* finishing as one of the best seasons they’ve done when it’s all said and done. From great editing, to stellar animations, to the hype matchups themselves, I feel like the quality has just been the highest it’s ever been.
Possibly my favorite episode of all time. Please let me know when working on your Season Ten review if you'd like me to do a brief feature about how good it is, I would be honored.
BREAKING NEWS: on November 1 2024 A giant dog appeared out of nowhere and was going to punch the Earth, a screem can also be heard in the background, The giant dog broke like glass and what appeared to be a smaller Version and way less buff was the dog, but way smaller it hit the Earth on another dog who was the reason of the yelling and caused a massive earthquake and explosion. Luckily only one person died, which was an old man named eustace he got sucked in a weird demon chest looking thing, although his voice can still be heard in the box, but lying there was two dogs dead. Names, unknown, reason of death (maybe by the crash by the Great Dane on ironically) there will be A death ceremony for the two dogs (and maybe the old man)
BREAKING NEWS: The two dogs were taken to a hospital when we found out they were still alive because a random man said so but we are unable to wake the dogs up (oh yeah and the old man or whatever his name is)
This is the best birthday present ever 🥲. I absolutely adore this episode, and it's now my favorite of the season. HAPPY HALLOWEEN, SCOOBY DOOBY DOO!!! GOODBYE EVERYONE!!! BYE!!!
Fun Fact about the dance calc, the G1 blog actually had the feat be about twice at what Death Battle put it at with 22 Quintillions times Universal level as apposed to 11.
18:13 Oh yeah I guess not everyone knows this. BFR counts as a win con in their book. Your still taken out of the fight. The exact same thing that would happen if you died. Your spirit goes to another dimension (IE heaven or hell) only difference here is your body can come with you Like how trunks was sealed inside the key sword. I understand most people didn’t get that and think he was “killed” but what actually happened was him getting BFRed inside his own weapon
I think they went into the episode preparing to kill one of them but from what they found in their research they couldn't find a clear winner. Im sure theirs one little detail is some spin off media that could give a winner but the outcome we got was the best outcome
13:47 You say that but that’s exactly how high the G1 blog put it. Also the reason it’s that high is simple. Our universe is over 99.9999999999999999999 percent empty (your welcome to look it up) and what he destoryed was a single solid object containing it. It’s way more then universal as the universe is mostly empty space. And the number would probably get higher if we factored the half a dozen power ups he had to get stronger
my take on the motivations for fight, they're friends, courage tripped scooby which made him mad so they scrap out of frustration, but know they're even and had no intent to murder each other only win the fight
just to anwser the question at 42:00 the longest streak of episodes without a marvel vs dc was all the way back in season 1 with there being 20 episodes between rogue vs wonder woman and Batman vs Spiderman.
14:50 Did… did you miss the part where the G1 blog also says the energy to destory that globe would be 22 quintillion times universal? (Scooby got 8 because you know, Divide by 3) 886 duo decillion FOE is exactly how much energy it would take to destroy the universe 8 quintillion times over lol
@@RaccoonBroVA Eh fair, just felt the need to clarify cause I know some people will find that calc BS. Even though it makes sense when you consider are universe is mostly empty and the glass is a solid object
09:59 Eh, I think it had a bit of charm to it growing up. For me judging a series soly on it’s set style never seemed sensible. That’s how I’m able to enjoy 2016 Berserk You can get over how it looks as no matter how bad it is… there are worse things to look at
