Hey Vanesa! It happens. We would suggest finding a way to slightly elevate their water source, so it's harder for them to do that. Let us know if we can help you in any other way.
What about black poop? I know it could be that he ate dark food or internal bleeding, but what are the symptoms and signs he could have internal bleeding? Also the black poop is solid with a little white. All the ones I've seen online have a tar like texture but mine doesn't.
If it is solid then thats a good sign. Not quite sure about some of the descriptions you mentioned. I might would check with your local vet and see what they have to say.
Hi Jemescia, Your birds are having gut issues and more than likely its irritations in the intestines. This can be cause by any number of things that make itself manifest through this symptom. Our product Big old Bird, helps with this tremendously. The normal application in a waterer is one TEASPOON per gallon one full day per week. However, when an issue like this happens we suggest running it every day until the problem disappears. Hope that helps.
2 of my chickens are pooping what looks like straight water. What do I do? I do not eat these chickens, they are just pets. We also noticed that one of my favorite chickens sometimes has what we call a "water belly" and at times it feels like there is a water balloon in her belly where her crop is.
Hello, our poultry probiotic Hen Helper will help tighten their gut and also help with nutrient uptake. This will help reduce feed passage and firm up your birds stool. This means they are actually using the feed you give them and absorbing the nutrients in the feed. You can order on our website here (www.southlandorganics.com/products/hen-helper) or give us a call at 800-608-3755. Thanks!
