Can't believe Spotify got in the way of us getting a Hat Films dnd podcast, I will never forgive this. So anyway, my favourite painting was the one with the spiral centrepiece, very fine blending there.
You guys are genuinely my favorites. There are RU-vidrs I enjoy and content creators I want to support, but I’ve never felt like “one of the boiks” like I do here. Tuning into hat films has lately been like catching up with friends. Don’t just love Hat Films but love you guys, hang in there lads.
@@Khrayfish I agreed with Tess, Hat Films are my favorite youtubers, but my favorite painting was the one that smith started by just dripping the ink from the top. It somehow remained somewhat geometrical and simplistic.
So I've been watching you guys consistently for a decade. There's too many reasons to list nicely in a RU-vid comment, but FOR ME it breaks down to these: 1) your chemistry is amazing 2) you're knowledgeable and creative content creators and 3) you guys are insightful. Together, you've provided content that appeals to a dude between maturing into the "responsibilities" of his late twenties and thirties and remembering the simplicity of kicking it with his friends back in highschool and uni. Your content gives me a good laugh throughout the day and before bed, and it challenges and educates me as an entrepeneur and creative (barber, KuyaMikeCuts). Your humour isn't just infectious, it's cathartic. But to address your point on "being successful," especially as someone who, a few years back, saw when you guys were on the cusp on a million subs, I think it's because you guys diversified very early. You know all of us Hats & Hatettes love your content. I watch the entirety of the ads on your videos, I actively search and support you guys when you do collabs, and I watch your sponsored videos even if the game isn't really my thing. I've ordered your merch before and, being from Canada, I can't tune into your Twitch streams often. Me, and plenty of other people, have a relationship with you guys that has depth (as deep as an Internet relationship can go). And I think that's the problem. The Paul's relationship with fans AND detractors is simple and pretty one way. They give money and they expect shennanigans and membership into the Maverick culture/fanbase. With you guys, you either have to have been watching you from time (remember when Ross and Smith sounded the same) or buy into your style of humour and content, which RU-vid is dramatically moving away from (more talk show and boy band brits, less cynical one). It's hard to be heard when noone hears what you're saying but your core group. And I know for a fact I'm a reserved guy (that's why watching you three is so cathartic). Again, you guys are my favourite RU-vidrs. Whether it's (among EVERYTHING about you Internet strangers I've learned over the years) Chris' comedic and dramatic timing, Ross' ability to go from calm MC/host to manic shit eater, and Smith's (still feels weird to call him Alex) honesty and wealth of knowledge expected of a member of UK's reserve forces #TA, HAT FILMS has been successful and is meaningful to us. But whatever you guys decide to do and put your time into, this "old" fan understands. Pretty pissed Spotify waived your D&D pitch because I know it would have been good. Pursue what makes you guys secure and makes you happy!
I have a similar story. Live in the USA and can’t watch many streams but I have loved their content and the boiks for nearly a decade and watch as many videos as I can
Hat films one of my favourite channels. Aunty Donna are touring Australia in October and November. They are amazing. "Morning brown I'm still not sure. Can you please explain it some more?" "It's coffee ya fuck"
8:56 The irony they're called Smiths Scampi Fries. Also, try the Smith Bacon Fries. I missed them so much my family send me a 24 pack when I moved to another country!
I'm going to be honest, I don't think I noticed a single thing that happened in the game the whole video, it could have been a still image for all I know
hat boys are my favorite boiks bcus they're very sensible in their approach to topics and always got new things to say as if listening to a podcast but it's not boring. learned a lot over the years watching them, and some of the "less popular" opinions make me feel less crazy
I would love to see more of this. Both the "race and talk about anything but the game" format, and them good ol' boys you were playing in the roleplay gamemode.
Walkers was founded in 1948 in Leicester, England by Henry Walker, and in 1989 was acquired by Lay's owner, Frito-Lay, a division of PepsiCo. Walkers is now Lays, they probably kept the Walkers branding in England so they wouldn't lose their original customers
I loved the whole random f1 chat. As a hardcore fan of you and f1 for so many years the crossover is weird when it happens. I enjoy it almost as much as smiff 2nd painting of Lewis' ass
You guys are quite possibly my longest continuous subscription here on RU-vid. At least one that still uploads. So yes, I'd say you guys are one of my favorites.
Spotify common! have you not seen Chris Trotts advertisments in DnD streams?! they're amazing! imagine him dooing it for an audio ad. I can picture the asmr mastery.
Ross: what's the weirdest crisp flavor you've ever had? Have we ever had any weird flavors? Me an American: The flavors you've been talking about for 5 minutes aren't weird???
You should try cheese and onion crisps. They're...amazing. There's a CHEEZ-IT SNAP'D flavor in cheese and onion that I'd definitely recommend. They're part potato so it still counts.
You guys are my favorites absolutely! I live in the US, so I can’t catch streams regularly. But I watch most all of your videos and just enjoy the work and hustle you guys have always had!
In answer to your question Trott, you boiks have always been some of my favourite youtubers. Also, Aunty Donna are an amazing bunch of fellas and I highly recommend checking them out on their RU-vid channel where they've got so many sketches.
Love a good ol GTA playlist. and i'd love to see more from you guys. and YES! you guys are my favorite RU-vidrs, I just don't care for many other let's players. and also, love these Playlists, I adore your Roleplay series. not sure what happened to it. but it was some of my favorite content recently from you guys.
I've been watching since the 1st America vlog and haven't stopped since. Why? You lads are funny and have a unique style that nobody else does. Their are a lot of other things I enjoy but ultimately it boils down to that. I love your content from hat films, to hat gaming, the streams and the podcast (which is fantastic). I hope you guys continue to do this for years to come as you guys have brought me so much joy and laughter through your videos and streams.
Tbf, I was watching that show where comedians share a mic and take turns saying something about topic they have (I can’t remember the name it’s in TV all the time) and there was one where the guy just said “Buy, EGGS!” and all my friends and I cracked up laughing for about 10 minutes because of how simple yet stupid it was. In other words, eggs are funny…
You'll always be my favourite boiks. Been watching you guys since I started highschool and I'm halfway through Uni now. If your channels ever go away I'm gonna be pissed!
No other channel really has the same feeling of a couple of idiots talk shit, have great back and forth banter, and sing silly songs. My favourite painting was the F1 race at Baku, was very good happy for Gasly
Yes, you are all are, OF COURSE, still my favorites, because where else am I going to watch three best buds laugh about how gross it is to scoop shit out of a dog's mouth, only to then turn around and say that the sweat chips video wasn't that gross because Smith farted in Trott's mouth once? You don't get this kinda hilarity in just any setting, only you Hat Films lads can pull that off, hahaha For real though, you guys are not only hilarious and creative, but also super skilled at filming and editing your videos (Craig is included in this too, obviously
You guys mentioned wanting to do some improv maybe after a couple classes you could collaborate with aunty donna I reckon the chemistry could be awesome, dream team
I watch you guys because of the friendly banter... It's not only fun, it's enjoyable on some sort of deeper level. I guess it reminds me of when I used to have fun with friends like that. Nowadays all my friends have found other friends, gotten married, etc., we don't interact like we used to. Sometimes it feels like you guys are my friends, with how well I know you. But that only works because your personalities are ones I'd vibe with. I don't think it's a bad place to be, grass is always greener and all that, but if other hat fans are like me, you've definitely got a unique and limited niche.
