Scooter Racing 1988 

Prior to filming at Three Sisters, Dave, Norrie and myself went over to the Top Gear Offices at Pebble Mill in Brum. We took a couple of race bikes with us, the idea was to do some interviews and take some shots of the bikes, stuff to be part of the scooter racing feature. Anyway we arrived, went to reception and was told the person we were to meet wasn't there at the moment and could we wait. So we sat waiting and waiting, can't remember for how long, but a long time. In the end someone from the Production team turned up said they were very sorry but there was nobody to do the feature. So off we went, back to MSC. A whole afternoon wasted ! Just remembered , Pete Merchant had come down from Rochdale with a bike as well, was a bit miffed and left before we did. At the circuit they were filming all day for a 5 minute segment in the show. Best bit....Dave dropping is Group 6 bike on a damp track.....never let him forget it. RIP.
