When we, Emiel and Daksinamurti decided to start the label we wouldn’t have dreamed of how it turned out. Now after almost 12 years of running the label, we are still amazed by the amount of creativity this psychedelic scene has to offer. A lot of art and music still inspires us, and we are happy to have contributed to the psychedelic culture with what we do. Our mission statement hasn’t changed since the day we started - to release psychedelic music away from stereotypes and stubborn boundaries.

Sangoma Records, founded in 2011 out of enthusiasm for psychedelic culture and music by the virtuoso Emiel / Gata Freak and cultural anthropologist Daksinamurti - both DJs for over a decade.
The aim of Sangoma Records is to release psychedelic trance without any stubborn stylistic definitions and boundaries.
