Yet there's people in the comments bragging about skipping just to the Pain part instead of watching his videos which means they're really not a fan they just want to see someone suffer.
@@DracoAveI looked it up and couldn't find anything credible. Just comments from a couple of nuts who will also buy Donald Trump's bathwater as soon as he starts selling it. Please give more details on where to look. Thanks.
Just remember kids, if it bites you, it's venomous. If you bite it, it's poisonous. Anything at a harmful level, even water or salt, is toxic, regardless of the compound. Science 101!
I got exposed to this when I was a teenager. My mother grew tired with this plant and I cut it up with my bare hands. I thought I was going to die. Nothing remove the effects. It was the worst experience of my life.
At first I saw coyote’s kitchen and became green with jealous rage it didn’t belong to me. Then I remembered… this man earned every tile in that perfectly crafted kitchen through the stings of demons.
He’s a complete fraud. Watch other videos of people being intentionally stung by the same stuff he has, no where near the over dramatic reactions that he has. Everything he gets stung or bitten by he has the exact same reactions in every single video 🤣
@@jackinabox926 1) its kids education. The reaction is perfectly fine to show kids that it’s not something you touch. 2) everyone has a different pain tolerance. 3) I know another channel who constantly tries calling Coyote out for being a fraud, but why aren’t we looking at the bigger picture? This channel is about wildlife and to respect animals. That doesn’t sound ill will at all. If you think so, then go seek help and stop the hate spreading of these channels revolving around education because that’s honestly ridiculous.
I mean, pineapples have the same thing. That + the acidity and the bromelain which actively dissolves skin tissue is why it can be so unpleasant to eat.
@@juginstinThat sounds interesting to check out. Coyote did the gympie gympie too, along with the Devil's toilet paper he referenced in this vid. It was so painful and there are just like... forests of the plant!
Hey, Coyote? I'm glad you're still alive. Please keep living for us. And hey, you don't have to keep pushing the envelope if you're afraid for your life. Your health and well-being comes first!
Assuming he had the correct antivenin and just so happened to be in a hospital as he got bitten, thus ensuring his survival (look up all recorded inland taipan bites), it actually wouldn't make for much of a video. Pins and needles and numbness at most. Gaboon vipers, puff adders, bushmasters, or frankly anything that's either cytotoxic or haemotoxic, now that would make for an exciting video. Better yet, imagine he did it somewhere in rural Africa where the nearest clinic is an hour away. The venom of the large vipers don't reach anywhere near the potency of the inland taipan, but the pain would be through the roof, and chances of survival are actually more uncertain due to the workings of cytotoxins not being fully understood.
@@tomclayton6875 Yup, gout happens because of molecules naturally broken down in your blood that get turned into uric acid crystals. It happens in the big toe because that's the farthest place from the heart so there's less blood flowing through it (or at least at a reduced speed rate) because the heart works harder to pump blood back up.
He strongly overexaggerated the risks and effects. The plant is an irritant, but that's about it. No chemical burns either, as the calcium oxalate (he called it oxide -.-) raphides cause purely mechanical damage. Even most people who got the plant into their mouth do not need serious medical help: An analgesic + antihistamine to keep down pain and inflammation at best. The raphides can probably be dissolved with citric acid/sulfamic acid solution.
"Are you Dumber?"........... >.< .... I'm just getting over a cough/cold. This had me coughing, laughing and spluttering, till I couldn't fkn breathe. G'damn I laughed.
Yeah I did the same in highschool. We had some growing in the greenhouse and my curiosity got the best of me. My reaction was almost identical, but with more swearing.
Hello Coyote! I have a plant for you. I was at your meet and greet at Costa Rica and I asked you to sign my frog with an eyeliner😅 anyway the plant is called the Manchineel Tree⚠️ but be careful, the milky sap causes blistering, burns, and inflammation when in contact with the skin, mucous membranes, and conjunctivae. Anway be careful and I love all your vids😁
There ripe 'Apples' shall taste rather pleasant, I heard. They don't drop a human down but you will remember them. This Things are so toxic you can't burn there Wood without poisoning the Air. I would say he took worse. Gimpy Gimpy can scar you for very long Time too.
Hello there. I'm an agronomist and my PhD thesis was in calcium oxalate crystals. Another species with similar effects is Philodendron sp. These species have developed a great defense mechanism to prevent herbivores from eating them. Though the role of these crystals is not just for defense but also for calcium storage and for the protection of the photosynthetic mechanism under stress. Another very common species that has raphide shaped Calcium Oxalate crystals is the grapevine. But these crystals are less in quantity and of shorter length thus eating food made with vineleaves like the Turkish Dolma isn't lethal for you.
Great Coyote 😍😍🦊 Thanks Coyote and Brave Wilderness team for coming to Rio Nuevo Nature Reserve Rainforest at the Osa Peninsula.. We want to share the marvalous secrets of the rainforest...
Gonna be a Brave Wilderness video in heaven of Coyote taking a brief trip to hell just to document how bad it is and tell everyone not to go there and don’t even bother observing it from a safe distance
Other plants to test: Manchineel Hogweed (and other phototoxic plants) Tread-softly Pain bush Parsnip There are also poisonous if eaten and hallucinogenic plants, but you probably don’t wanna go down that road haha Jimson weed Hemlock Nightshade Foxglove
Foxglove (digitalis) is used to make the heart medication Digoxin. It's rarely used anymore. Patients have to have their blood tested to ensure they weren't in toxicity, but even within "normal" levels it would slowly poison your other body systems.
A possible antidote would be a mixture of dillute citrate + EDTA or dillute solution of sulfamic acid. Those should be able to dissolve the raphides in no time. Generally speaking though, the majority of people is just fine with a mild analgesic and an antihistamine.
Interesting. They could not do a thing with me in the hospital. Rather than meetings. Once they realized what happened to me (even i knew and told them what i ate) they said there is nothing to do, just wait it out.
Haha, bravo brave wilderness team. You’ve found a new way to keep viewers and draw new ones. We all know we are here for the reactions, kinda like watching the hot pepper videos. This was the best reaction I’ve seen on this channel, at least for my weird funny bone. Thanks for your chosen path!
Even though it's only the third episode, this is easily my favorite series of yours. Here's some more to try :3 *Siberian Larkspur *Tread-softly *Manchineel tree *Giant Hogweed
Because he tells everybody that these stings are more risky and dangerous than they actually are. The statements about the raphides in this video are not only false (it's calcium oxalate, not oxide and the irritation is purely mechanical - no chemical burns), but his reaction is also very overexaggerated. His camera man is already fed up with all the acting.
Wow that was really something worth watching. It always better on your skin, than inside your system. I'm glad your arm didn't get badly infected. I've always knew to never eat poisonous plants. They can really do a lot more damage than on your skin. Watching you lick it was extremely scary for me to watch. I was really worried about something bad happening. After seeing the effect it had on your tongue, it was proves that it that bad. I'm glad you didn't eat. And it was good you rinsed your mouth out. I'm glad you were able to recover the end. By the way, your dog from the beginning of the video is really cute.
