first time i watched this, I thought Holyfield won but after watching again. Blaq clearly won for a number of reasons: 1. Almost everyone there was a Holyfield fan so there was already bias. 2. Blaq (a debut battle rapper) went toe to toe with Holyfield (your BRL champion) and came out unscathed. 3. Holyfield crying about don't disrespect me in a battle rap showed Blaq bars clearly got to him.

Referencing Surulere, a suburb in Lagos, may be a bit controversial in terms of talking about "Mainland is where the fans are". There's a dichotomy in Lagos where there's the Mainland and the Island. The Island is where the main business district in Lagos is (and Lagos is the commercial capital of Nigeria, so you know) and also where the rich folks are. So talking Island and Mainland is like the "rich and not-so-rich" in a sense. But majority of the population lives on the Mainland, though they work on the Island. Though there's always a sense of class to living on the Island, the Mainland is where you want to push your music because of the population. But as much as a lot of artistes have come out of Surulere (including Wizkid who's probably top 3 Nigerian music artistes right now), I feel a lot of areas on the Mainland can lay claim to being central to music distribution on the Mainland. But I think he referenced Surulere so he could use the "small streets" line because they damn sure have some tiny streets in Surulere. Lecture over!
