They were just trying to be nice and find "common ground".. in no way were they getting it or really agreeing, they consider "born again" Christians to be under the influence of demons and while they'll generally have cordial conversation as soon as he left they'd be saying to each other "wow that guy is really lost."

You did a really good job. They kept agreeing at parts that they really don't agree with and just running past thinking through other parts because they feel they already know....they have no idea how the GB are the ones closing up the kingdom of God.
Thank You for your feedback, even though it may seem like some comments landed on deaf ears. I know from my own anecdotal experience that just hearing truth from the mouths of actual Christians (Chelsea’s Family in my case) that some things did penetrate even if I only came to realize it years later. God has made our minds with such an amazing ability for recall but sometimes those things are buried deep within our subconscious mind and are only brought to the surface when the time is right and we are ready to learn and submit.

You did a great job being gracious and trying to point them to the truth. It is hard because they are throwing out so many different topics. Keeping one important subject like who Jesus is or salvation by grace is very hard but so important

@@BornAgainExJw you did a great job. Last time I did a cart crash I couldn't even get the JW to talk about Jesus. They just wanted me to go to the website. Cart crashes are a lot more difficult than people think.
@@joshpayne1201 I’m guessing you either got a younger JW or it was someone who was older but really disinterested to be there. Yeah some of our friends who do cart crashing make it look easy that’s for sure.
I specifically asked if we could pray for them at the end (knowing full well that they would probably say No) But with that being said, I saw a video recently where a Christian had a conversation with two Spanish JWs at His door and He asked to pray with them and to my surprise they said YES! It made my heart so glad I had to try!

I think you did a good job speaking with them. It's sad, however, that they were such in preaching mode, that it seemed as if they weren't listening to anything you were saying. Thank You Pastor Jim. I appreciate your feedback. I do think the reason I was allowed to speak longer and not simply shut down is because my sister-in-law was standing there with me. Had it been just me I don’t know if the conversation would have progressed as much. Still at least some of what we discussed seemed to permeate a little and I could tell one of them was embarrassed when they wouldn’t let us pray with them. It so very hard for me to listen to there explanations and so called reasoning of the scriptures. They just regurgitate whatever their leaders tell them. Being a Christian for 60 years and having such a precious relationship with Jesus and understanding of Him; my spirit is so offend. I want to stop them at every other word or stick my fingers in my ears. I’m so glad you kept searching and Jesus called you out.
Thank you Judy, Trust ME there was Many times where I wanted to interject and correct them. About the “great apostasy” that never happened or textual criticism (how do we know that what we have in our bibles is actually from the manuscripts and original sources) there was like 7 subjects we could have gone down and I could have shut down. But it’s a dance when talking to JW’s if there is too much push back and resistance they will simply shut down and or run away. So its a level of discernment that I’m still developing but I’m hoping that just the experience of having a conversation with two Christians who seem to know what they actually believe was what we were meant to do in that moment. That was a powerful apologetic that worked on me when I was a bought in rank and file Jehovah’s Witness. Speaking with actual Christian’s who loved the lord and knew what they believed (Chelsea’s Family) actually prompted me to jealousy because they talked like they knew Jesus and yet I was the one who was supposed to be in “The Truth”.
When you asked them how you would enter God's Kingdom in a paragraph, she led with, "You have to live the way Jesus did". Or something like that. The thief on the cross is the thorn in the side of the JW doctrine of salvation. I guess they don't really know what sanctification is, because they seem to conflate it with salvation. 2 separate things. One comes after the other, in order, and sanctification doesn't come first. Had to edit this. I posted this right before you said the SAME thing. I guess it's the same Spirit leading both of us.

56 minutes the witness talks of the sadducees and pharisees seating themselves in place of moses as she used the word 'mediator' but yet she cannot see the paralell (can't spell sorry) between them and the Gov Body. Sad very sad.
And even worse it seems she doesn’t even know that according to the watchtower Jesus isn’t even her mediator but the mediator for only the 144,000 according to their teaching. And if you try to show them that first they are offended and second they just yield to the teachings of the governing body and say “well okay I guess I just benefit from that arrangement” it is extremely sad because they are content to reject the fullness of all God is offering them.

No worries, I do think I will end up doing a commentary on this in the future but in short the little flock in the book of John is the nation of Israel that Jesus pointed his ministry towards and the other sheep that he says must also become “part of this fold” are the Nations also know as the gentiles (non Jews like you and me) for more reference read the book of Isaiah particularly with YHWH refers to himself as the good shepherd (a title Jesus refers to himself as in the book of John) and look at all the instances where God says he will bring light to the nations (aka the gentiles) and save them.

Now please don’t mistake my comment I’m Not calling you Old, based off of the photo I’m assuming you have children or grandchildren even in which case you have a responsibility to be an example to them. 2nd, there are not 45,000 different sects of Christianity, at most maybe 4 Catholic, Protestant, Coptic and Orthodox and they all generally agree on the basics of what makes someone a follower of Jesus. Little differences in things like mode of baptism does not make a denomination. And really that kind of stuff is for in house debate for Christian’s not non believers.
@@BornAgainExJw She’s right, in a way. Every religion claims to be the only true path to God. I was raised as a JW, so I know it well. So do you think you have “the truth” now? I can assure you, you do not. You may have a little more than a JW, but it is in no way the full picture of the truth of God that the Bible gives us. Religions are boxes of doctrines. If you are a student of the Word of God, and not what men say about it, you will no longer fit in any box. For example, consider the fact that a JW who leaves their organization and joins a “born again Christian” organization now has to believe a different set of doctrines, such as from believing that God will annihilate most of his children (JWs), to believing that God will eternally consciously torment the same in a fiery hell for a short life of sin that they were born into through no fault of their own (most of Christendom or “churchianity). I believe what the Bible says about God, and his profound love for all of us. At 1 Cor. 15:22 we’re told “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” That excludes no one. Read it carefully. It’s the same “all” who are in Adam, which is everyone, who shall be made alive in Christ. Religions will tell you that it only includes, or excludes, certain groups, but that’s not what it says. Once you see this wonderful truth of the love of God, you will start seeing it everywhere in the Bible. Please don’t stop at what men teach from the pulpit, for it is mixed with lies. Keep seeking the truth from God’s word above all else. Peace.
Because in my spare time I EAT THEM!!!…Just kidding. After I left the JWs I tossed all watchtowers, awakes, reasoning from the scriptures, what does the Bible really teach book and the NWT into the garbage where I felt convicted at the time they belonged. I even sold my briefcase on Facebook marketplace. But after some time had passed and I grew closer in my relationship with Jesus it because evident to me that, one of the best ways to reach JWs is to use their own material, so recently I have begun to collect literature again. (I kind of explained that in the beginning of the video but you might have just skipped right to the cart crash which is fine) But I’ll be taking that copy of the NWT, comparing it alongside the ESV, NASB and the NIV along with the Greek interlinear and Hebrew manuscripts to show and mark every instance where the watchtower Bible and tract society has changed the Bible to fit their theology. If I have the physical copy on hand I hope it will be a useful tool when speaking with JWs because it’s a source they trust.

What a lot of garbage about praying in public. I remember my JW father praying anywhere with his family, he wasn't shy in showing his religion. She wasn't honest with the real reason she didn't want the prayer. It's not hard to be truthful in this matter.
THANK YOU! That’s exactly right. I knew more than likely they would say NO and honestly I could tell one of the JW sisters felt embarrassed at the other one’s response. At the end of the conversation she put her had on my shoulder and said “You’re Alright” aka you’re a sweet boy” lol. I think that moment may have actually been the most powerful of the entire conversation, because we weren’t combative or mean or nasty, we simply wanted to speak to them and love them and at the end pray with them and even after all that they rejected it. I think it had an impact and I pray it helps her to start questions some things.
When I do a cart crash I tell them that I believe the Jehovah's Witnesses really are fulfilling end time prophecy. Then I get them to read this scripture that has always been in every Christians bible: . Isaiah 66:5 Hear the word of Jehovah, YOU men who are trembling at his word: “YOUR brothers that are hating YOU, that are excluding YOU by reason of my name, said, ‘May Jehovah be glorified!’ He must also appear with rejoicing on YOUR part, and they are the ones that will be put to shame.” . [Name of person] is no longer one of JEHOVAH's Witnesses ---->> "excluding YOU by reason of MY NAME" . . I then ask them who they now want to believe. . Jehovah? . Or . Nine men who live in New York? .
The problem with this lady saying that John 3 is about Nicodemus being "offered a chance to be 'anointed'", is that the text didn't say any of that. Jesus didn't even mention heaven. He said, "Unless ANYONE is born again, they cannot SEE the Kingdom of God." Are JWs going to SEE the Kingdom of God? All of them? JWs, are you born again? Read John 3:5 again and again and again. Stop trying to say Jesus was only talking to Nicodemus, or a handful of "anointed" people. In the SAME conversation, Jesus spoke in John 3:16. That message was to EVERYONE. What you are doing, if you are JW, is listening to the WT tell you that the first part of John 3 is to a few, but then in the same conversation, same context, same text, Jesus is speaking to everyone. You see the problem with those kinds of hermeneutics? So, this was my 2nd post, and you mentioned the SAME thing as I was posting this comment.

It doesn't mention any 'SPIRITS as you say. ALL Christians are born again, born from God, born from above, a new creation. it's all the same thing. Yeah it took awhile to let them speak and then I simply repeated the verse, I don’t mind using analogies and thought pictures but sometimes I find just repeating the words of Jesus alone to be the most powerful. Because ultimately it’s His wisdom I’m leaning on. I think in the future, when I approach another cart I’m going to have a more cohesive plan of conversation, this was a good first experience but in later interactions I would like to discuss the “2 Flocks” being discussed in John and Revelation. This will Ultimately tie into Jesus being the Good Shepherd from Isaiah and the 2 flocks being Israel and the nations aka (gentiles) I would be interested to see what kinds of conversations that provokes.
They don’t want to say it out loud, but they ultimately believe that anyone who isn’t a JW is worshipping a false God, so in their minds praying with such a person could result in some form of false worship.
@@strongtowerman9661 That is correct even if you end your prayer in the name of Jesus, they bracket anyone who is not a JW as part of what they would refer to as “evil Christendom” and they believe everyone outside of their group is a part of “Babylon the great” Sorry for using so much of their lingo but all of what I’m sharing with you is verifiable on their website and can be found in their watchtower and awake magazines along with their books.

It amazes me how many times the average JW mentions the 144,000. The bible only mentions that group in 2 places, both in Revelation. Revelation 7 actually defines WHO they are, clearly and concisely. But JWs just blindly follow 9 knuckleheads in New York, that tell them the bible's description isn't literal, but the number is. But also, the very next verse says there is ALSO a great multitude that no man can number STANDING BEFORE THE THRONE, AND THE LAMB.. That is IN Heaven. It's NOT on the Earth, as JWs like to retort. Before the throne, is ALWAYS in Heaven. There are only 2 interpretations concerning the "144,000". 1. The bible is literal, and they are male, virgin Jews, 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes. 2. The bible is symbolic, and the 144,000 is the ENTIRE church. It is ALL the saints from ALL time. I tend to believe the first view, because the bible was so specific and didn't use terms like, "like" or "as it were", or any other qualifying words or phrases that would lead you to believe it was symbolic, like much of Revelation. Either way, it doesn't matter, because BOTH groups are IN HEAVEN. That's plain to see, if you don't have the scales of the WT on your eyes.

God WALKED in the garden of Eden in the beginning. Why would God and a select few remain separate in heaven for all eternity? He will be WITH mankind in heaven ON earth.

They think such prayers are literally demonic. They also refuse to enter a church. My brother and I quit the JWs and he got married in a Methodist Church but our JW parents did attend, nobody else would.

It actually was a super powerful moment, I could tell the one JW lady was embarrassed that the other one wouldn’t let us and was speaking in such a way. She was so embarrassed that she actually placed her hand on my shoulder and said “You’re okay” like she was saying “You’re a good boy” lol it was cute and I could tell she felt bad about not letting us pray, but still maybe out of everything that moment will get her to start to question things.

Know what the sign a guy wasn't the messiah was? If he died before doing the messianic things. Jesus failed, hence his needed return that's not coming.

Even down to the miracles he is purported to have done were not a sign. If anything, those were supposed to be a warning to the Israelites.

@@greenline5351 the messiah is a regular family man, who will make sacrifices at the third temple for himself and the nation, as in, he's not perfect. Human sacrifice was always an abomination to God, and 'no man can die for the sins of another'. See how that might clash? Of course, it wouldn't clash with the pagan beliefs of the surrounding nations at the time, since Christianity has far more in common with the ancient mystery religions.
Favorite Cartoon Character…that’s a hard one, there are so many great ones to choose from! Maybe Uncle Iroh from Avatar the Last Airbender. As for the historical event of Jesus of Nazareth’s prophesied death by crucifixion, his burial and resurrection after 3 days, that can be historically tested, so the comparison you’re making is poor.
@@BornAgainExJw Choosing your favorite god is vastly more difficult than choosing your favorite cartoon character as it is estimated of the number of gods invented over the millennia to be somewhere between two and three thousand. Unlike cartoon characters, however, there are no great ones to choose from unless of course you happen to be talking with someone who actually believes in one of these various gods and therefore confidently knows how great their particular god is. There is no credible prophesising of jesus death and resurrection. Such claims are just the unwarranted and manipulated interpretation of apologists trying to retrofit jesus into conformance with earlier hebrew scripture. These claims can indeed can be historically tested and when they have been tested the claims have been shown to be unjustified. In the unlikely event you are actually in interested in understanding what is considered to be academically credible by bona fide scholars then do some serious research with an open mind. If you do you will come to realize what you claimed is only what you’ve absorbed from the confirmation bias infected manta continually spouted by apologists who dismiss objective evaluation of evidence in order to prop up their pre-existing belief. If you’re not interested in an academically credible perspective, then hang on to your favorite cartoon character along with your favorite god because there isn’t any difference.

Other than that the concept of speaking a world into existence is an utterly and ludicrously nonsensical phrase devoid of any rational meaning or relevance. Of course it might make sense if you are referring to ancient mythology invented superstition dominated peasants who were so ignorant about the world they were mystified by where the sun went at night. They likely spoke all sorts of things into existence. That’s the comforting attraction of make believe - you can invent anything you like and then call it an explanation for anything you like. The only downside is that it means you are suffering from a fundamental disconnect with the real world. But then that doesn’t matter because since you have already chosen to give preference to make believe over reality you have voluntarily descended into a state of delusion so severe that you can’t even recognize something as trivially obvious as this.
