Scored A Technics Sl-q200 Turntable At The Flea Market! 

I've serviced a few of these... Excellent value for money. The motors are very nicely made. They sound pretty good. Common issues: The auto anti-skate spring can get worn or sticky and it'll crew up the tracking on the last half of the record. Can be adjusted by bending part of the spring but it's tricky to get perfect. The arm lifter piston thingy gets seized... you don't have to take it out! Just remove the plate over it, and keep dripping wd40 on it and wiggle it carefully with a small pliers - it will loosen up. The plastic mechanisms get fractures but i've never seen them break or become an issue..

Looks like my exact turntable! I've had it since the early 90s and I bought it second hand at a flea market for $25. Great turntable.

Looks similar to my turntable, but mine has pitch controls for 33 & 45 and my other buttons are in switched position

“$180” for a P mount??… wow, I don’t know what part of the country you buy and sell in but I definitely need to commute there and set up because that’s a $30-$50 turntable all day long where I live.

Cool machine, but the P Mount cartridges are very limiting.
