I might have never been diving before though I am certainly looking forward to do so. But common sense says that these all these mini tanks, particularly those that hang just from your mouth, like Scorkel, SMACO, or Spare Air should at least have a secure strap around your neck or to an arm strap, or to your body for obvious reasons.
I used same but poni cylinder is better 2 l. enough for 20 min on the bottom totally 10 meters. To refil I used manual pump. 2 - 3 days after job to refil it slowly is enough. 220 bar is ok. Also my set is quite mobile. Cheers, well done!
I bought a Scorkl setup by the kikstarter, due to covid I am yet to use it. how long would you say it takes to fill the tank with the hand pump, how easy is it to learn how to use as I'm not a diver, I intend to use in shallow water never more than 3M when i get a chance to go on holiday. Do you have any tips?
It's a workout to fill it. I counted a bit over 700 pumps and they get harder and harder as you get closer to a full tank. Even though you don't get that much time under water with a full tank I think the effort you put in to fill it is worth it.
Good morning Martin, I'm a diver from Brazil, I have a SPARE AIR emergency cylinder, 177 cc, small, is it easy to fill it with the high pressure peneumatuca pump? And is the air that we are going to breathe clean?
It's easy to fill it from a regular scuba tank but if you use the pump be prepared for a workout :) The air you pump in is obviously the surrounding air, so if that air is clean you will be breathing clean air👍😁
@@mmiiro Thank you Martin, as the SPARE AIR mini cylinder I have is very small, I think I can inflate it with the manual pump, even if it is in parts, 100 pumps per day, but I also have an adapter to inflate a SCUBA S80 cylinder of 12 liters .
You should probably get a license first though if you buy one because of you don’t know how the physics work and how to breathe right you’re lungs can collapse
@@mmiiro the depth is irrelevent. it is the pressure that matters: 6m is 1.6bar @ 25/ltrs per min (min).......I would suggest that the best recommendation for something like is is 1bar pressure (or zero meters) and if you want to see the undersea world, don't do it on the cheap.
Does it really matter because most of the people that this crap is being marketed to aren't going to have a depth gauge anyway. Unfortunately in scuba diving depth isn't something you can guesstimate. Just on more reason why these things are dangerous.
@@ronjeffrey8641 I respect what divers do, but love how divers are reacting to how deadly these things can be even when the dive distance is less than a dive pool. Could it be deadly, sure. So could taking my car out for the day. There's always a chance of risk. I think it's actually dangerous when divers preach that this will kill you in any condition because people will end up trying it and guess what, if they end up perfectly fine, now they think divers are full of shit. Then they will push the limits. It's similar to parents pushing teens away from drugs. Teen tries it and sees how they didn't die or get severely hurt, now the perception is the parents are full of shit because of scare tactics.
