Paul, recently your readings seem designed to address my exact, specific life situation. After decades of teaching college writing and literature classes, I'm trying to remember how I used to write creative works. My main challenge is overcoming so many voice telling me to play it safe, to write according to what is expected, and so forth, and this has been exacerbated by my recent reading of Save the Cat!, which tells writers how to write formulaic works that will pay off. As you say here, the payoff is not the reason to create. I don't know what I'm going to choose to do, but I can say that your reading validates ALL of the issues I currently have. (This includes a personal situation that is both nurturing and restrictive.) Thank you for this helpful snapshot of all the forces surrounding my work. Also--I agree with everyone else. Paul, I have been going through the situation of doing the hard work to create a life for myself, despite how modest it is. For so many years I have depended on others to provide for me, and the past three years I have been working hard to make something of myself on my own. It has come with several challenges, lacks, and suffering but there has also been immense joy, triumph, and satisfaction upon reflection. Currently, I have a female supervisor that keeps stepping in giving me advice on how to improve, which causes me to feel a little deflated as I'm already putting in a lot of hard work. But I have to remind myself that these are growing pains. Thanks as always for your reading.

As an owner of 8 birds, I know that they are not always happy! I'm always going in and asking what they are all arguing about! They also know that life ain't so grand when they are out of their cages flying around, as there are 3 little kitties waiting outside the door just wishing they could spend the day with them! LOL! After a 40 year marriage, I'm now learning how to live on my own all over again and boy does it cause heartburn some days. Buuuut I just finished re-landscaping my backyard all by myself!( and this is no small backyard). The satisfaction it brings, definitely was worth all the dirt I showered off and the sore muscles.On to the front yard! 😁. Thank you for helping me confirm questions I sometimes ponder! Thank you Paul appreciate this this reading, now that I am retired I am finding it difficult to live of my pension ,in a really bad financial situation and this is affecting my health . I'm thinking of moving into a small apartment or a retirement home . Paul , please could you pray that I my health gets better and some sort of miracle that my finances improve, as I don't like asking for help from anyone and I know I will not receive any help from my family , they have never supported me previously, they always think that I am not capable of doing anything on my own . Yes it is work it is work related I work for a restaurant with a German restaurant and he is the most disrespectful and doesn't respect women and he just gets me crazy but I like I like the restaurant but he's the only one that always pickin on me always I don't know what's going on❤❤❤
