I own this helmet, rode it all of last season. The ventilation is outstanding never had a wet head or soggy helmet even in 90++ degree heat. Also stayed dry in the rain even with my vents taped open! The features have all been reliable and well functioning.
dont know if you guys gives a damn but if you're bored like me atm then you can watch all the new movies on instaflixxer. Been watching with my girlfriend for the last months :)
It really looks like my Scorpion ADX1. It seems this model has one more ventilation position. Yes the visor is a bit noisy after 100 kph. But the main advantage remain the large view which is the same as a jet helmet. Thank you Kyle for the review.
Thanks for your comments. Yes, the ADX-1 does look very similar to the AT-950. The biggest difference I see is the 2 shell sizes vs 3 shells on the AT-950. I am looking forward to trying it out. Thanks for watching. - Kyle
I use this helmet and like it well enough. It is a little loud, but my trips are short commuting so not a big deal. I took the visor off since im just commuting. Ventilation is decent but I sweat a lot naturally and i live in tripple digit heat so i do wish for more air flow, but in town i tend to leave the visor cracked open to help with that part. My favorite part is the modular chin bar. Makes on and off so much easier being able to stretch it open a bit to slide over my big dome.
Hey buddy for the price point it’s not a bad helmet... I own one but my only complaint with it is the noise I have had way more expensive helmets arai..bell..etc the top vent rattles when in closed position since day one but I always run it open even in cold weather in the north east. The amount of features you have with the 950 is quite nice I do like it and would buy again just cause it won’t break the bank and it’s not a bad do it all helmet. Well thank you brother you and the family stay safe and healthy my friend!
Great feedback! Great value and lots of features for the relatively low price. Thank you for sharing what you line and dislike about your helmet. This is very helpful. - Kyle
I like mine, haven’t had an issue with it in a season + of riding, granted I’ve never owned an expensive Arai or shoei helmet to compare but I think for the cost you get a lot of good options and a quality helmet.
Thanks for sharing! I have owned an Arai XD3 and loved it. The fit and the finish of the Arai was better... but it is nearly double the price. This AT-950 seems to have great value! - Kyle
I had one for a season, great features for price. Peak wobbled side to side, hi viz paint fadded quickly, and the drop down visor mechanism failed. The locking mechanism on the chin bar became unreliable. One side would consistently not lock. Pitched it after one season. I rode about 25000km with it, never dropped it or had an impact with it.
I own the exact same one and colour. Very comfortable Inside the the down not to good ventilation on top and its noisy. The peak wobble at highway speed and it vibrates into the helmet into my ears. So i drive without it on highways
Rik Englebert thanks for watching & for leaving this comment. I haven’t ridden this helmet yet so can’t comment on noise.... but it’s an intermediate oval in fit and it does fit true to the size chart. - Kyle
Kyle Bradshaw awesome! I was curious if your three buddies who like the helmet may have said something about the noise level :-) peace brother, keep up this awesome content!
Kyle Bradshaw one other quick suggestion... a reflective panel behind your camera to shine a little light into the helmet or whatever item you are showcasing.
@@manybikes it's the loudest helmet i've ever had with a faceshield/modular. For reference I've had HJC IS-MAX, HJC IS-MAX2 and a LS2 Metro in this catagory. So not a ton to compare too but I have read other people saying they find it loud as well.
Yes. I just saw a very honest review from someone who not affiliated with any businesses and the one thing she made very clear after two years of riding was that due to the peak visor, the helmet is LOUD. Another feature she noted was that the inside sun shield gets dusty because it sits directly behind the air vents and the dust from the incoming air collects on the inner sun shield. Something that could be solved if the inner shield had its own space. I should note that she rides on the road and not just off road so the cons apply to street riding as well
What size do you need? Here is the Large: www.amazon.com/ScorpionEXO-Unisex-Adult-Adventure-Motorcycle-EXO-AT950/dp/B01GV06AGA/ref=sr_1_21?keywords=scoprion+exo+at950&linkCode=sl2&linkId=683ea608f1ea8b0216d5dfc2c114663a&qid=1637945473&sr=8-21
For all those considering purchasing one of these, I'd strongly recommend going with another brand of helmet. I've been trying to buy an AT-950 now for over a F$%&'ing year! I've made two on-line purchases that have since been voided because of no chance of a delivery date. I've scoured every web based retailer in N America and been to a dozen stores and no one knows when or if these helmets are ever going to be shipped. But yet, all of them are still advertising this helmet for sale. They're not available or even been manufactured! I've contacted Scorpion USA three times now and asked if production has been halted, if last year's designs have been replaced with new ones not yet available or when supply will resume. I've been told it's business as usual at Scorpion and that supply is just around the corner. They've been tell me this since last July. So why does no one have this helmet in any size except XS or XXL? It's been frustrating as hell and meanwhile my bike remains parked as I have nothing to protect my noggin. This is a reflection of the type of product backing and customer support you can expect from Scorpion. Meanwhile, the folks at Shoei happened to get a glance of my 4 year old Neotec I wanted to replace and decided -despite the damage and wear to it - to replace it for free. I still need a dual sport helmet but it won't be from Scorpion! Back to a more reliable brand.
Very interesting comments. It is true that production has been slow do to all of the covid / supply issues most brands are running into... it is a good helmet (when available). Good luck in your search.
I feel like this is an extreme exaggeration or you're looking in the wrong place. I just purchased an XL AT-950 on revzilla on Sunday. It's arriving tomorrow.
@@Yan69420 Well you feel wrong. Send me a link to your claim cause I just went on Revzilla and all but XS are out of stock. STILL www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/scorpion-exo-at950-outrigger-helmet
its a shit helmet that causes deafness if you ride over 50 miles/ hr. Absolute shit. If you cant afford a Shoei or something like a neotech then save your money.
Interesting... while I am a HUGE fan of Arai and Shoei... there are some really well made less expensive helmets. I have not (yet) personally worn this one...
