Hey I’m getting the same set up for my 120cc. Just wondering do I need a spinner if so what size. Is it OK just to put the prop directly on the shaft without a back plate cause I don’t see one in the video? Thanks for making great products
Hi. I accidentally touched 3 wires of the ESC SCORPION with each other, there was a click and discharge. Now everything works, but now I am very worried, how did I spoil the ESC SCORPION? What do you think ?
Kyle yesterday was the maiden flight on my Extreme Flight 104" MXS using the the identical scorpion power system as Santiago. Although I had my doubts at first but was totally impressed with the balance and performance of the airplane. I'm mostly running default settings on my tribunis ESC but are there are there any tweaks i can make for added performance?
The tribunus esc does not have any adjustments which effect the power. The esc has dynamic frequency, and dynamic timing so it is always giving you max power and torque. As long as you make sure your esc is calibrated to the proper endpoints of your radio to ensure you get full 100% throttle channel. Nothing more to do!
Stephen Walker as Santiago said in the video, it pull 150a on the ground and 130a in the air! 👌 It would be perfect for skywing airframe they are very light!
Theoretically yes. The point is that this doesnt have equal power to a 100cc gas engine. But it is lighter. So the resulting power to weight ratio is pretty good without needing a huge motor and 4x 6s 5000 mah batteries. The thrust is ~42lbs so depends on which plane you have. Also make sure you consider the CG. As the motor is MUCH lighter then a gas engine, so you need to be able to get the batteries very far forward in your plane.
That's amazing power and flight time you're getting out of that setup. Can you tell me the total flying weight please? Thanks, and you have a new subscriber.
A castle esc will function with the motor. But castle escs do not have dynamic frequency, or dynamic timing like the tribunus ESCs. So there will be noticeably less power and slower ramp up rate, and less efficiency on a castle esc (or any other esc) then with the Tribunus. This is why I really recommend the Tribunus ESCs.
