Matthias Jabs is always smiling… who could blame him… I love it! He’s underrated by Rock fans but not by the pro’s (of any genre) know exactly how tremendously talented he is!
Long before modern in ear monitors artists nowadays take for granted. A miracle they could hear each other, let alone stay close to being in tune for 2 hours every night.
The scorpions had the best song of all the hair acts because they had a great soloist and a purely rhythm player who nailed those killer chord progressions as a great foundation for the songs
Saw them on this tour and it was ****ing awesome. They are definitely in top 5 I have seen live. And back in the crazy 80’s no internet live concerts was the only way to see bands live.
When this album released I rode a bmx like 6 miles to buy it because I couldn't wait another 6 hours for my parents to drive. A great time to be alive as a teen for sure
I was in high school back then in 85 . Seems like another lifetime where have all the years gone . Time moves fast all these years later this song is still great and takes me back to when I was young . I remember this song well brings back great memories from a time long gone . We had alot of great music in the 80s . Those days are long gone I wish I could get in a time machiene and go back to the 80s great memories and I was young .
I want to go with you, so let's invent a time machine, my junior high and high school days. Seen the love at first sting tour, bon Jovi opened up in 84 or 85.
Saw them in STL back in 1988.They had been banned from playing the Checker Done because they were so loud they actually cracked part of the support structure....
I’ve seen Scorpions 3 times & the shows have always been outstanding…perfect musicianship & & awesome guitar solos!! What a fantastic band & still going strong 👌🎸🎸
Here's the thing about songs like this...You're in the studio, you're coming up with these amazing vocal melodies...but you're going to have to perform them live, eventually! Nowadays they can just use autotune and backing tracks. But they didn't have that back then. Even tuned down to E flat this is still an insanely difficult vocal part.
I Saw them at MSG NYC opening for Rainbow 1982. They were the reason we bought tickets!!! The whole event started with Blackout and ended with Smoke on the Water!! Then I walked home to 456 W57st to face my mother who was watching Ted Koppel on Nightline. Stoned but not wasted- I dare not disrespect her.
HOLY SHIT! What an awesome video & SONG!!!! I forgot to add them to that list of bands I sent you'z earlier. That guitar solo Mathias Jabs does is smokin'!!!!!! :):):)😎😎😎😈😈😈👺👺👺👾👾👾
I was there too! It was my first concert after coming back from Korea serving in the 4077th M.A.S.H. My commanding officer always wore women's clothes, so in his honour i went to the concert in drag.
THE ENTIRE BAND ROCKS. IVE SEEN JABS and the boys in Frankfurt in the early 90s and he was so wickedly bad ass! Also at the 1983 US FESTIVAL IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. EPIC STUFF! SCORPIONS !!! METALDOG in Ca.
Saw them at the Summer Strut in 1982 at Anaheim Stadium in California. Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Loverboy & Foreigner. These guys smoked em all. AMAZING!
This song reminds me of the wonderful person who gave me this album back in 1984. There's truly no one like him. I still have the album with his signature on it.
So... I'm 12 years old, and Scorpions is my favourite group! My the biggest dream is seen Scorpions with my own eyes. But I'm from Russia, and with today's situation, I'm every day believing in Scorpions's concert in Russia... You are very loved in our country, so, go in Russia, please! I believe in you! Music shouldn't t be related to the current situation in the world!!! With love from little Russian girl Dear Scorpions, I've been waiting for you all my life!❤🎸❤️❤️🔥👍🤘
I enjoyed watching the Scorpions concert at Phoenix, AZ. The Scorpions had a sell out! This was back in 1984. All I kept hearing from the town of Scottsdale, AZ was the Scorpions! I enjoyed other concerts as well, keep up the good work as being a musician artist and Miriam competitor. Sincerely, L. Yazzie
Matthias jabs, lead guitar royalty.truly one of the best, period .............is, was, never has been underrated Rudolph ,one of the best, solid, unwavering rhythm players, period ..........is, was, never has been underrated
I was at this show. A Day on The Green. August 25 1985. Scorpions Ratt Y&T Metallica Yngwie and Victory. What a day. They just don’t have shows like this anymore. I think the gate price was 22 bucks. Christ, you can barely park your car at a gig for that now!
I remember what I thought was the most amazing light show ever when they opened. Now seeing this video of the show I see it was a venetian blind! My favorite of the day was Y and T
