I love this song, and I've heard it a bunch, but watching this video was the first time I realized what they meant by, "...the land of the morning star." He's saying that he's in hell, because Lucifer's last name (if you believe in that stuff) is Morningstar, and that he wants God to send him an angel to rescue him. Or, he could be singing about wanting to find true love. Who knows?

yes it's heavy metal to be more exact "heavy metal slow/ballade" the familly of metal is very big with diferent style of musics et even in the same style of music deferent "roads" scorpions had mostly taken the "heavy metal balade" when other like metalica has taken the other road but all bands style have some songs in the other " road" for exemple "iron maiden" is more on the "hard heavy metal" road but listen to their song called " wasting love" it's clearly on the balad road, there is a pratical thing about haw you find both in metal but i will not "ramble" about the reason exept if someone ask why there is the 2!

I remember this song being on the radio, i bought the cassette when this was new (and later the CD). i could always sing this song word for word with my eyes closed... but never in 34 years, from that day to this, had i ever made the connection on "morning star" (and i should have since i had a religious upbringing) you are absolutely correct and i thank you for helping me appreciate this song even more for it's greater depth of the lyrics. HUGE THUMBS UP! and a subscribe so i can find and check out more of your videos.
