The mountains in Scotland and England are not as tall as the Alps nor do they get the snow of the Rockies but there so open and rough, no trees. I always watch videos of winter camping in those regions. The wind can be brutal and the conditions can be tough. Beautiful area and views. I have the same cook set and use it all four seasons, love it . Nice video
You were lucky that your gas stove worked as you were using summer gas. Isobutane is good down to minus twelve, MSR gas is isobutane and I think the Jetboil gas is too.
Morning mate, bloody great. Thanks for sharing buddy. Looking forward to getting back to wild lol. Miss the hills here in Pembrokeshire. Great pics. Thanks for sharing buddy. Tc Andy
Brilliant video, I’ve not camped above 600m in snow yet. My mates are +10 degree campers at a push. If they don’t upgrade their sleep systems for next year I will be going solo’s 👍🏻
Great video work, but for those considering such, a walking Ice Axe for Arrest and crampons should always be part of the kit! Do not assume it is only the UK and therefore not dangerous. Many die per year with such an assumption.
I loves winter camping but there's safety in numbers and if I'm going to be tent bound because of bad weather I would rather be sharing a tent that's why I bought a saitaris
Hi Tony. Leviathan performed well. I think you can manage temp around -10 and still stay warm. However, you will need warm sleeping mat with some insulation under your sleeping bag, which is even more important for me.
killtec.de/product/skane-3/?lang=en It is Killtec brand. I purchased this jacket in Germany. Pretty much regular windproof, winter jacket I would say. I happy with it.
Great video. I'm not at the stage in my hiking experience where I would feel confident going out in such conditions but well done. And your cinematography was great too. Although I have a gear question if that's OK. You used a footprint with your mirage. What size is the footprint? Cheers. And well done.
Hi Craig thanks for stopping by. I took Vango Zenith Pro 200 with me for that camp. I got this groundsheet from Amazon, here's link . I hope this will be helpful for you. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07KJTNLDP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_9ED6ZNJB16K56XW16K0Z?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
