This fascinating hoard of treasure was discovered during excavations on St Ninian’s Isle, Shetland, in 1958 and dates from the 8th century AD. In this video, Dr Martin Goldberg, Principal Curator of Medieval Archaeology and History collections at National Museums Scotland, explores the unique find.
