Never mind yellow trousers, I'd be wearing brown trousers to go up that thing...you three made it look oh so easy! Another great day out for the steaming boots team!
always worth an early start Garry :) must be one of the busiest summits on the Black Cuillin Ridge for sure :) Hope you had a good day for your trip :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
Great day for a great climb. Rather you three than me !! But I'd have enjoyed the abseil off in my younger days 😅😅😅😅 Looking forward for some more from the three of you love the banter ....
Thanks Sue , we got a cracking day for the Inn Pinn on this occasion , nice to be able to see the views on this trip too :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
Thank you Murray, Gerry, Mark, glad you made it this time, beautiful Skye views 😍 Scudding, love that word, Slippery When Wet, great album...a Pork Pie?!!! sacrilege...
Funny feeling to be watching you on the same land :) I am in Scotland, at the very last day of a wee work visit to Glasgow. Not long enought to reach those wonderful places you take into our homes. Once more, great adventure, lovely views and beautiful friendship; thank you to the classic Trio!
@@ScotlandsMountains The trip was wonderful, and the weather was... beautifully Scottish! ;) No problem walking along the Kelvin river and crossing Kelvingrove park. As you say over there, there is no bad weather, only bad clothes!
Superb video and the 360 camera makes it look very very scarey....Good to see you all got back to finish the pinnacle...many thanks and best wishes and don't touch those pork pies lol
Wow, couldn't have asked for a better day for it weather wise, Mark more glided down than absailed I'd say. Great stuff as always, Thanks for sharing Take care All the best D & B 👍
Fantastic to see it in such stunning conditions Murray. When I did it it was more like your previous attempt: windy and all clagged in. It’s a classic mountain and very special to me being my first Munro. ATB 👍
I climbed the pin many years ago ( 40 years younger and fitter) Definitely a few squeaky bum moments , but what a sense of achievement when you reach the top, same feeling I get now when I go for a pee😀
I remember the first time I did it and at the bottom thought that it wouldn't be that bad - then when I was on it the feeling of exposure was terrific - it really is a shark fin of rock and a fabulous place... Thanks for watching ATB Murray
Hi Murray been away for a while ,now catching up with your videos you,re getting very daring with that climb hope you and family are well regards from,Ray and Jayne , the Tesco couple
The In Pinn, what a fantastic place. The belay ledge in the middle is one exposed place. I dropped my small camera there once, it bounced and stopped and I was able to retrieve it. Very lucky. Another great video of my favourite hills, thank you. Even better with Gerry and Mark banter!
Great video again Murray. Climbed the Inn Pinn twice 1985 and 2010. I am not a rock climber so found it pretty intimidating!! What is the issue with the camera in the early part of the video? You were in focus but background was not. Which camera were you using?
Thanks Paul, dont think there was an issue , the camera was probably at a wide aperture to get a little of the "bokeh" effect as you saw . The action cameras have set apertures (usually ) and so cant offer that so I don't think it would've been the gopro - probably the sony zv1 or a7 :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
Another brilliant video Murray the 360mcamera was made for this! I also have unfinished business with the In Pinn, having stood below it three times but never climbed it! The first time was after we'd done Banachdich, and just included Dearg on the way down to make a good day of it, without any intention of climbing the pinnacle, or any gear to do it. The second time it was just too windy so we retired gracefully back to the tent. The third time I was on my own and had come along the ridge from Mhadaidh, and was just completely knackered by the time I got there. I'm now knackered by age, but never say never eh :)
always an excuse to go back and get it done :) even just standing at the bottom and looking up at it is an amazing place to be :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
Brilliant to see the three of you having such a great time. This was so enjoyable to watch and loved the banter between you all. Scenery as always spectacular. Look forward to the next one Murray. ATB.
Thanks Julie - its a spectacular place - anywhere on the Cuillin is magical - a few more to come from Skye in the coming weeks too :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
Superb as always Murray. One of my hiking buddies summited the Inn Pinn and absailed off. It looks amazing. One of these days I might venture over to Skye as part of my munro journey. ATB
Once you go to Skye Marco, you will be drawn back again and again - it is an amazing place with some of the UKs most spectacular mountains :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
A fantastic summit Gents …..Murray great video pal the perspective on the assent had me grabbing the arm and climbing around the couch lol . Buzzing just watching, the views look epic moreover the weather puts the biscuit on top .. a great day in the mountains ⛰️
Thanks Stephen , the weather was great on this trip , really nice to do it in clear conditions and beats the last visit for weather for sure :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
thanks - Skye is such a fantastic place - especially the Cuillin - got a few more Skye videos en route in the coming weeks :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
Hi Ant , the rope is pulled through so you are abbing off two strands - then at the bottom you pull one end through (if that makes sense ) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
Hi - the rope is fed through the gear at the top so two strands are fed through the abseil device. Then at the bottom you pull one of the ends of rope through to retrieve the rope (if that makes sense ):) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
7:53 I don’t know many folk that would describe that a “wonderfully exposed”. Most, I believe, would say certain parts of their bodies either clenching up or letting loose! The views are spectacular though. Thanks to you all for bringing us along. Cheers and ATB
I see you point Erin , maybe its not for everyone - but on a day like we got it was lovely ;) the first time I did it it was a tad more windy and I remember thinking - "dont let go" !!lol Thanks for watching ATB Murray
It's not nearly as difficult as it looks. The climb up Sgurr Dearg is a straightforward enough ascent and once at the In Pinn do exactly as your guide says, they'll keep you right and safe. Maybe easy for me to say because I don't have problems with exposure but even if you do you'll be safe enough with a guide and will love the day out whatever the weather.
Walked past the In Pin about 25 years ago. A few trips to Skye since but never had a go. Maybe one day.... lovely little film. Glad you got back to finish the job Murray 😂👍
Great to see the three of you return to the Inn pinn to see about that unfinished business 😊👍. What a day, and what a view! Very exposed, just watching gave us the heebie jeebies! However the real shock was discovering you have entered the dark side and been eating pork pies 🤣😱. Thank you for taking us to these incredible places Murray, always a pleasure to see you out enjoying the mountains with your pals😊👌
It looks so beautiful in those conditions. I climbed it in September with a friend, and it was the first time up there for both of us. We thought we had a weather window, but it turned out more like the weather in your previous attempt, murky with strong winds. The bit at 6:24 gave us both Elvis legs. Apart from that it was a lot of fun!
the weather has its own ideas in Skye !!lol , however when the weather shines up there I think its one of the most spectacular places on the planet :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
The weather makes all the difference. And Skye is just special, isn't it? You seemed REALLY to enjoy that climb and the views were spectacular. Great video!
Thanks Gordy - it is a fine trip to get the Inn Pinn in these conditions :) certainly beats the conditions the last time :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
If you like AC/DC, then go to a Live Wire gig when they are in Scotland. They are better live in my opinion. Let me know if you do. P S the bass guitarist is a friend
Been to every tour since the Razors Edge tour - superb live - highlight was seeing them re open the Odeon in 2003 - awesome 👌 talk of them touring next year 🤞
@@ScotlandsMountains have you seen Live Wire/. Dont confuse with the American band. As i said the bass guitarist is a friend. I worked with him for 6 years The lead guitarist is incredible. Better than Angus in my opinion
