They weren't sold for £5.5m though. The assets were bought out of liquidation by Green for that fee. Stadium, training ground, etc. No club was listed on the asset sale because the club had ceased to exist.

The club was already sold and moved out of the Rangers PLC company and moved into a new company before it was liquidated, the club is still the same. Just accept it, Rangers are still here, even fifa, and sfa say we are the same club
Check company law a football club is not a legal identity the business is. the football club was formed in 1872 and the business was formed I'm 1899 the business was liquidated but the club was bought over by a new company so the football club is still 1872 but the company is 2012 now so check company law mongo

15.57 they state that Green could sell the "company". This is a false assumption that Green had somehow bought Rangers when in fact the company was Sevco Scotland - Green's own company. There is no ambiguity about what happened but the media couldn't get their heads around the fact Rangers had ceased to exist.

Except as a club, it didnt live on. There was no seperation of club from the company into which is was incorporated and no exit from administration. Furthermore, there is no legal evidence that Charles Green ever purchased an football club

If you look back at BBC league tables and results in the new club's first season, you can see that they were called "The Rangers". The newly established club had to be careful, under threat of legal sanction, not to be confused with the old club that was liquidated for at least a year. 😂
