I am a lowlander. If you are In our area don't miss the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. They are amazing!! Would recommend the Outer Hebrides. So much history and beaches to die for . On a windy day ( most days), you can always sand blast your favourite knife. On a calm day, you will believe you are in Paradise, because you will probably be on your own on one of the most beautiful beaches on the planet!! If you are going to try Black Pudding, Stornoway is the place. None better.

Lovely set of pictures and nice calming music. I have been to many of those places (hillwaking a few weeks ago started next to Melrose abbey) but have some on my list to visit. I love the appearance of Edinburgh castle (especially arriving by train from Glasgow right underneath its crags). But for visiting I much prefer Stirling castle. I might have to include it in my own "Out and About" RU-vid channel videos.

There are so many more places to visit than this list and cost nothing. Isle of skye fairy pools. Also if you can find out info on other brochs near glen Uig are amazing. Take a drive along the west coast amazing views.

Do you only want to go to cities?? Scotland has few cities, so maybe travelling to towns, islands or the country would be advised.

Be prepared........ the majority of "tourist attractions" have a hefty entrance fee, but if you're willing to fork out money go for it. Just wear comfortable shoes and bring your own food....... some places in Edinburgh are quite willing to charge $5 for a coffee, I'm Scottish and ashamed of some of these places and their rip off prices
