As someone who knows the city very well I would say that you did a fine job in terms of seeing the sites and savouring the sense of Edinburgh during your much-too-short time there. Of course there is much, much more to explore and enjoy, so hopefully you will return. BTW, you refer to the Dean Village Market. The market is actually in Stockbridge, just a few minutes walk along the Water of Leith from Dean Village. Though we didn't see it in your video, the Stockbridge (and immediate) area is fantastic, with great homes, eats, independent shops, Inverleith Park and much more. Start at the Gallery of Modern Art (two of them a few minutes walk from Dean Village) and - via Dean Village and Stockbridge - make your way to the Royal Botanic Gardens. That stretch is one of the absolute highlights of Edinburgh. I will now proceed to your other videos on Scotland. Thank you for doing such a fine job on the one above.

Lovely video- locals pronounce the city name as “Edin-burra “- a bit like Greensboro- but not like Pittsburg. Glad you got to see Dean Village it’s so beautiful.

I've asked a Few Older, Street Bagpipers. Who were born in the City. Of how to pronounce, Edinburgh. And they all said... Ed-in-bur. The G&H are silent. As in Through or Though. I love this place! I'll be there on July 17th. For my 16th 5 day visit. From my home in Belfast. In as many months! I could honestly be a Tour-guide...lol.

Heading to Edinburgh in September. We’ve seen mixed reviews about Edinburgh castle. What are your thoughts on that experience in terms of value for money etc ?

I personally enjoyed it because of the multiple museums and it teaches you a lot about the castle’s history and Scottish history in general. I would pay to see it again, but it’s just a few buildings and museums so it depends on what you enjoy doing while traveling if you’d think it’s worth it or not 🩵
