So happy to see this in my feed! It’s nice to see Scott appreciates you so much! I’m looking forward to seeing you in something together. The opening questions / observations were great to listen to, from martial arts backgrounds to favourite Jackie, Stallone and Schwarzenegger movies! I agreed with you both on First Blood, but how does Conan not get a mention? 😂 And love the Young Master for the Hapkido final fight - such an important movie and learning touch stone for all when you see how that was embraced by Jackie and Samo in the better future movies
What a great interview. I loved every second of it. Growing up watching both Hong Kong martial arts film in the 80’s and 90’s and western action film, this interview brought back alot of memories from my childhood. Thank you gentlemen, Bruce and Scott!
I would love to see both of you together in a movie. This interview brought a lot of memories. I really enjoyed this interview with Scott and you (Bruce). Thank you
Great video with great guest, Scott Adkins is so down to earth and always the good way, wish him the best and the most successful carrier. BTW : this is not Paul Hertzog, this is Jerry Goldsmith. 😁
Great work Bruce! This interview was bang on! Hey Scott, im from UK and I think you movies are fantastic! You're kicking agility is extraordinary. As for my fave old movies. Love NRNS1 But 3 was my favorite because of the faster fighting style. Chinese fave movie got to be Iron Monkey, followed by the Once Upon a Time In China 1+ 2
Need to get scott down the boozer and dig out a box of old vhs martial arts movies and go through them one by one. I agree with all his movie choices, including Jackie chan taking off around police story. I did also massively enjoy bronson, stallone and Eastwood, my other three childhood heroes.
I agree Loved the First One BUT this second one is even BETTER FIGHT SCENES fantastic Particularly with ANDY OMG fluid fast beautiful n powerful in Style and Look Photography on filming that Fight scene is a movie of itself Really loved this fun campy and cheeky Film Color palette Photography Sets Additional actors GREAT
He really is the most honrble, down to ground, most amazing martial art of all times.. yeah, maybe not best movies yet.. boyka rocks though.. he needs a bloodsport/best of the best story.. a karate kid story..
I wrote to Scott Adkens that Boyka female name in slovene means Boykaya in Russian translate fans, and Boyko in slovene means Boyky in Russian translate fans
This is easily one of the absolute best interviews out there with Scott Adkins! What a great, entertaining conversation between you two. You really covered a wide array of topics, and all of them were fascinating. I just don't understand how videos like this one get any dislikes, you'd have to be clinically insane to give this a thumbs down!
Bruce, you're so amazing in all your choices and all the interviews you do with golden period martial arts stars, 80's and 90's, I'm a fan of you, it's a memory of the good old days.
Scott Adkins has perfect aligned teeth and whiter than snow. Hollywood missed hooking him up. Scott's charisma is a bit lacking but, Hollywood missed it with Scott.
Scott should have been Batman. I have to stare at my expendables 2 poster it’s would have been one of my favorite posters of all time but Scott is not on the fucking poster but Liam Hemsworth is, like come on. I understand why because of marketing that’s such bullshit and they did remake Running Man it’s called hunger games lol.
I’m about to turn 40 myself. Best interview I’ve seen with Scott. Excellent questions. You really got Scott to open up and share a different side of himself. It didn’t feel like an interview. It felt like a conversation between kindred spirits. Well done.👏 New subscriber. 👍👍
Scott Adkins deserve to be in spotlight and deserve to be in good movies. He’s very underrated, great fighter and very humble guy as well. Thanks for the video buddy 👌
Adkins does indeed deserve all of those things but, personally, I'd much rather see him in the exact type of cinema that he's already (been) doing (geeked about AM: HH) than watch Hollywood completely bungle his abilities.
This was great! Scott is such a fun likeable guy! Love his movies! Bruce please try and get Michael Dudikoff on!!!! Would be so interesting to hear about his life
Great interview, Scott is so much down to earth. favourite Stallone movie : Rocky IV (one of the best training soundtracks) favourite Schwarzenegger movie : Terminator 2 (best action movie ever) favourite Jackie Chan movie : Police Story favourite martial arts movie : The Raid 2 (and Ong Bak) favourite Scott Adkins movie : Undisputed 2 (and 3) favourite guilty pleasure movie : Big Trouble in Little China (and Ninja in the Dragon's Den) favourite movie : Watchmen favourite cinema movie : The Shawshank Redemption (and Godfather 1 and 2) favourite actor : Christian Bale
Best interview with Scott to date! I felt so related to all childhood memories with Best of the best and soundtrack stuff. God i wanna be i child again so i can go outside to kick the flagpole.
hahahaha eastern european here, well we had boyka movies and stuff in tv-s numerous times, i did not know in some countries these movies would NOT be popular on 1st place
Came here for Scott Adkins but I just subscribed. Fantastic interview. Would love to see you two do more podcasts together, great chemistry between you two.
My psiudonym Draco Boyko I took an example from Mahammed Ali, he took the surname from the Pakistani president Mahammad Ali, I took the surname from the Ukrainian politician Yuri Boyko I live in France city of Toulouse, I am on the Tatars on the Mother Russian May the surname BADRETDINOV translates full moon and perfection I soy that I am a perfect fighter but not the best I have similar tattoos but not the prison I wrote to Scott Adkens thank you for played the role of Yuri Boyka
Good to watch Scott Adkins on the other side of the mic. The movie that convinced me of joining a martial arts club was "The Last Dragon" featuring Taimak and Vanity in 1985.
Great interview but come on man, The Neverending story it’s a great fantasy movie , it got around 80% both from critics and audience on Rottentomatoes… I can’t believe you say it sucks because you grow up now.
First time here , really enjoyed it nice to see people on my wave length it was like hanging with like minded people, i love Scott Adkins , he is the JCVD of todays action movies for the new generation. subbed
Scott said not many people in England watch his films he’s wrong as I’ve seen all his movies all great. He’s so underrated he deserves to be in bigger movies. Awesome guy brilliant martial artist he would make a super cool James Bond for sure.
Hopefully Scott will continue his action movie career into his 60s and beyond - I'm the same age as him so let's not have being in our 40s limit us - but he's a good actor too, so he could take some dramatic roles later on and continue his success. We may be 46, but we're not dead yet!
Question: Bruce, I know you have a baby boy and I have a question. What movie are you gonna show him once he can watch and pay attention? I started my son Jean-Claude (8) with Predator and Aliens when he was 5. Currently I am still showing him good old gems that unfortunately new generations don’t know about. Actually, I started a video series, on my RU-vid channel, titled Jean-Claude Watches… Again, what movie will you show your son for the first time?
Bruce my Brother what a really great podcast interview with Scott Adkins and I met Scott at this years uk MartialArts expo show in Doncaster uk at the dome leisure centre.
