I really liked this Episode !! Easy to watch with a lot of information. I enjoyed the comparisson between the Shu Puerh's. I guess i have to buy some of them now ! :D
Damn you Scott. I just randomly picked this video to watch today and then, of course, proceeded to order a cake. I was already over-budget on tea this month. lol. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to drinking some.
Wow, I was just trying this one, having already seen the video, with 8 gram in 110ml pot, and the tea just flat out punched me in the face. Don't brew this one too strong to get a kick. Pushed, this is a tea for coal miners that work 16 hour days, 2 miles below surface in 120 degree Fahrenheit confined spaces. Haha. Nicely brewed, however, this tea is so nice. Chocolate without the sweet, nice bitter, a bit of wood. Thick mouthfeel. Strong cha qi! A bit blunt, but not unpleasant. I might use this one as a pre-workout, just for the caffeine and the qi.
@@Yunnansourcing Yeah, I noticed you mentioned that. I recently saw a video from William (Farmer Leaf) who says that there are two types of trees/leaves Lao Man E, of which one is more bitter and one is more sweet. Do you source Lao Man E in that way, or is it hard to determine/get to know which type you get (of course you can probably taste it, but maybe the variety in bitterness between the two types overlaps?)? Still have to try raw Lao Man E, but challenge definitely accepted. :)
@@Yunnansourcing -2 all day today. Although this would be considered warm for this time of year. Gets down to -10 at night, but soon will be -30 and colder
Lao Man'e puer is very bitter and back to sweetness is after 2 minutes of totall btterness in my throat. Not like it much but one cake is must have item in any collection.
