That race where Bloomer got sent the tail end then worked his way through the pack to win is all you need to know about that guys talent level...just off the hook..we sure will miss your genius Scott...RIP brother.....🏎️🏎️🏎️
@@the_macdaddy9609 I know Scott is the greatest all times. You can't say dirt racing without saying Scott Bloomquist. And he still racing and a threat anytime he is on the dirt. I bet you even have one of his shirts
That's a fact I wasn't a big fan of him just cause I always pulled for the underdogs and he was almost always a favorite to win but I've seen him do things that aren't possible in a car many times ..saw him the first time at st.augustine speedway he won every night I believe
I was there at eldora 2014, and it was utter B_-_-s/[T! They put him on the rear for a piece of saftey equipment, but he was the show that night, as i sat in the middle of a bunch of moyer fans, cheering to the top of my lungs, while he wore them out like a bunch of rented mules!!!! #GOAT
I've been watching Bloomer since his 1988 appearance at Eldora I was 8 years old I'm 44 now. I've got to talk to him multiple times at the track. My Dad and Uncle took me all the time. My Uncle always said love him or hate him he's a bad ass you'll never see another like Bloomer. My Dad and Uncle always made sure to go to the pits after the race Bloomquist would always stop.what he was doing to talk to us for a few minutes. R.I.P. Bloomer No Weak Links
Scott usually has a good car the thing is he is so old and had surgery and pretty much when he is racing he looses feeling of his leg and ass so he can’t feel the car shift etc.
I got to meet him at bristol,My car was handling like 💩 he came over and said Man if you do this and that,it should be right on, And I did and it was,He has a lot of knowledge on these cars,
Number 18 at the age of 18 moved to tennesse to master a late model from clarksville own number 15 18 went where 15 went to learn from him 15 mastered it from 14 and 14 worked for buck 41 as 14 copied and became a ledgend 41 had over 1200 wins till his death in 2012 and f1 from gaffney sc total wins over 1000 and 00 had over 800 wins b4 was there as well till he was murdered in 2001 ask 18 why he was barded for life with nascar DRUGS AND DID IT ON DIRT BUT BROUGHT HIS WAY OUT MM that being said maybe 650 wins 99 21 and more where better RIP 00 B4 F1 41
He won more than that, the number of times he was short 25lbs. And not just at eldora, I believe there were a few other big money races he was light on the scales. Just like babb being light after winning eldora by like a gallon of fuel.
Good grief. Something for all those who are complaining about Davenport to remember here. As a man who just discovered series on NBC sports network 3 years ago and is still learning im glad i saw this
So yeah all " poor people are jealous" ? No we have more character than that and generally are humble people who are thankful. When we narcissistic people say things from there tongue as you we realize you probably didn't make your own money unless your Dad had it to give you.Bloomquist probably wouldn't associate with a person with your attitude
@@joen5332 i did not say, that you didn't know the rules. Alot of people we're bitching about it being just 5lbs, which it does sound petty. I've been a Bloomquist fan for many years, and was a tech official for 10yrs at two local dirt tracks to me, I've disqualified drivers for 1lb. under, but a job is a job.
He's Still Well Behind Jeff Purvis in Big Wins... so #ALMOST GOAT. Add that Jeff has probably 1/3rd of the starts to boot after NASCAR then injuries. Unless you are only counting "BIG Wins" Post the Jeff Purvis Era. I will give Scott props that his entire focus early on was to chase Jeff from Race to track to racetrack across the country for the Large Purses (Kinda what Kyle Larson does now). It Clearly paid off, making Scott one of the most ELITE Dirt Late Model driver's Ever. I guess Similar was done but on a smaller scale between Purvis and Larry Moore prior to that. I guess if this is based on $$ amount (this era had even bigger purses) I must give Scott the nod. Jeff Was not around anymore to participate or defend much of these. Shame, as this was in an age when crossing over and doing double duties seemed frowned upon. Thankfully, Kyle Larson has put an END to that line of thinking!
