yeah now it's just quads....there really is no artistry or imagination and fun anymore....i miss the backflips and the kickouts like the one he did here....no one missed the ice skating back then and now you don't even know when it's on ....maybe because of streaming crap and the darn phones but it's just not the same....and no one will be like him...he was/is true blue!
His life is as inspiring as he is on ice. There are other great skaters, but no one will have my heart like him. His smile alone is a gold medal. He has brought so much joy to so many, especially kids.
@@ericmoore1173 my last name used to be Moore, and I once saw a person on here with my name. Any now people with my middle name are insane numbers. It’s Amy.
Showman extraordinaire...fabulous skater....very charismatic and compassionate for less fortunate.....once in lifetime person. Glad I got to experience him over all his decades. You go Scott! ⛸💫⛸🎖⛸
There is only one Scott Hamilton! I’ve never watched someone who loved skating so much. He truly knew how to entertain. Made you feel his joy & conveyed his whacky, fun loving personality with the best showmanship. What a guy!!
All these years later. Scott Hamilton still makes me smile. A true legend on ice. His ability to tell stories and bring you on to the ice with him. Absolutely Beautiful.
Scott Hamilton will always be a legend in the Ice skating world. There will never be another skater like him. I hope that he is doing well after his fight with cancer. He will remain a part of skating forever. Go Froggy!!!!
We had the privilege of seeing Scott perform Double Bogey Blues with Fox Stars on Ice. Everybody loves him. Not only for his skill and skating ability and creativity, but just because he's Scott. Standing ovation when he was introduced, and another, even longer standing O when he finished. Such fun to see this routine again. Thanx muchly for sharing!
No one like Scott!! Love his splits and footwork, but mostly his joy which comes through in every petformance. He skates with joyful abandon. Love the excellent role model of his life. He has met difficulties with such courage.
princessmissy50 He’s had my heart since I first saw him in the competitions leading up to the 1984 Olympics. Such heart, personality and humor along with his skill. It looks so easy for him. I was able to see him twice when his Stars On Ice came to my city. His cancer battles have scared me so much. I just pray he beats it again for his wife and sons. God bless Scott.
NEVER DO I TIRE OF WATCHING THIS TALENTED GENTLEMAN SKATE ON ICE!! SCOTT HAMILTON IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE BEST . .... Watching him is a joy and you know he is having fun too.
The heart of a man is not derrmined by his size. Man Scott is sure a giant! One of a kind love him!! Skating just isn't the same anymore. Long live the 90's 💕
I love when Scott would skate. You never knew what he would be skaing liking....whether it was going to serious or a comedy or even a mix. I will miss his skating and entertainment that he gave us. He is a legend that will never die. :-)
The feet, the flip, the spin and the heart. You've got it all Sir. It's been a pleasure to have watched you skate and now to hear your commentary. With you to the end.
For rib-tickling entertainment in addition to his unique artistry, this is one of my all-time favorites in Scott's repertoire. Way to go Scott Hamilton!!
Mr. Hamilton is going to be always the best. Everyone knew who they had to try and beat, and it was him. I wish he still compeated!! :) You're the Best Mr. Hamilton!
Just amazing I miss him so much he killed it on the ice even with his sickness it just amazes me I remember watching him with my mom sadly she passed away a while ago obviously because he hasn’t danced for a while ago or skated just amazing
I Love Scott Hamilton......There's Not A Skater Alive That Can Match His Moves Nor His Fancy Foot-Work....I Have Followed This Man's Skating Since I Was A Kid !!! I Love Me Some Scott (Skating) Hamilton !!
Scott is the Fred Astair of ice. Fred danced with a wooden coat rack. I love to watch Scott because I know he's going to give it 110% of everything he's got.
I completely forgot about him (I was a huge fan of figure skating back in the eighties, but it kind of subsided...) until I recently saw him on the Colbert Report's Vancouver Olympics coverage. Then I looked him up here on RU-vid to discover again what an easy going, funny and incredibly talented guy he was. Thanks for posting this delightful piece, it brought back some lovely memories.
I have a video cassette with this performance on it, it was and is one of my favorites! I remember when I was little waiting in anticipation for his back flip and I'd cheer every time!
