Rangnick was woefully treated by the media, a victim of British media bias because they'd no understanding of his career and just dismissed him ignorantly. Ten Hag is a big boy, earns 9 million a year and had a poor season. He can tolerate speculation on his job and would expect it. The season review was completely blown out of proportion. They're all adults making a business decision, there's no emotion or loyalty involved. Ten Hag's feelings would not be hurt. It's completely normal. Considering the way he wants to play, it was impossible to create any sort of learned patterns, with new players in position nearly every week. They are still dealing with the car crash of terrible decision making for over a decade making. The result is United are a top 10 side in reality, expectations need to reset. Top 4 is the target, that's achievable. They are a big club in name only. If there's a huge decline in injuries, it's perfectly feasible to challenge for top 4 and have good cup runs. People need to forget the Ferguson years and never forget the horrendous damage the previous administration inflicted on the club. Ten Hag will be fine, just don't expect Elite level achievements. United are still a long way off so treat Ten Hag with realistic expectations.
