I agree that kids need discipline, but spanking a kid simply isn’t a good option. Take a talk with your kid, use a firm voice to explain why what they did was wrong. If they don’t seem to understand. Give them a consequence like, taking their toys away etc. You could also give them time out, and reinforce any positive behavior they have. I could go on, but I think you got it. Using physical harm to discipline usually gives a poor relationship between you and your kid. And parents that don’t use abuse to discipline usually have a way better relationship with their kids.

But of course, to prevent this behaviour from developing any further, appropriate disciplinary measures need to be imposed to effectively correct misconduct.
