This war never needed to happen, but the U.S. always desired a Nato base in Ukraine & Crimea to encircle Russia. The U.S. had been breaking the U.N. charter for years by interfering in internal affairs of a sovereign country. The U.S. had been dangling future Nato membership for Ukraine since the early 2000's. But Ukraine still had a Neutrality law in their constitution until Dec. 2014 when their parliament voted to end neutrality.

I am a Swedish citizen, since many years living in Italy. When I heard that Sweden were considering to join NATO, I was shocked. How can they think about joining this warmongering organisation? But they did it, without asking the people to decide with a referendum. After the above report by Scott Ritter I am very perplex about one thing: I have been searching up and down on RU-vid and I have not found any confirmation from any other source talking about this fatal blow on this Ukrainian-NATO structure? It was very clear from the length of time Ukraine was holding out against the powerful Russian military that they were not fighting alone. Because there is no way that this fight would have lasted this long had they not been receiving maximum support from the US, UK and NATO. The Iskander has proven to be a thorn in NATO's and Ukraine's flesh; what a wonder weapon for Russia that will for a long time scare the daylights out of Russia's enemies.
